Downtown + EaDo
- New Year’s Eve Bash at Downtown Aquarium – Ring in the new year at the Downtown Aquarium and enjoy fun kids activities, including a kids balloon drop, dance party, games, a bubble wrap stomp and more. Tickets are $30.99 for adults and $22.99 for ages 10 and under. Celebrations from 11am to 1:30pm; 3pm to 5:30pm.
- Houston Rockets vs. Miami Heat at Toyota Center – The New Year’s tradition returns to the Toyota Center, as the Rockets look to face Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry and the Miami Heat ahead of the ball drop later that night. $25 to more than $1,000 but you may find some better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 6pm to 8:30pm.
- New Year’s 2022 Bash at the Secret Group | FREE – The EaDo comedy club and music venue returns with its signature New Year’s bash, featuring a $1,000 balloon drop, ticket giveaways and drink specials all night long. Free with RSVP before 11pm; $10 after 11pm; VIP tickets available for $60. 7pm.
- NYE Houston Bash at Cidercade – Ring in the New Year at East End’s Cidercade by playing fun arcade games, grab grub from food trucks, and drink a few signature hard beverages. At midnight, there will be confetti cannons and a toast. $40 to $50. 7pm.
- New Year’s Eve: Year of the Unicorn at El Big Bad – The Downtown tequila bar hosts its annual New Year’s Eve Unicorn party with its signature unicorn cocktail, a unicorn piñata ball drop, live music, a costume contest, and more. $25 to $150. 8pm.
- NYE Celebration at True Anomaly Brewing – Throw back some pints to the era of the speakeasy when the EaDo brewery hosts a New Year’s celebration with live music, dancing, heavy hors d’oeuvres and a midnight champagne toast. $75. 8pm.
- Tigers & Lillies NYE Masquerade Ball at Lilly & Bloom – Don a mask and head to this bar in the north end of Main Street for a New Year’s celebration with complimentary welcome cocktails, DJs spinning Top 40, cash drop after midnight, and more. $10 in advance; $25 at the door. VIP sections available. 8pm.
- The Art of Eve at Bayou Place – Explore two large ballrooms and a rooftop patio at this New Year’s Eve celebration that includes party favors, a laser light show, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, DJs from around the world, and more. $55 in advance; VIP sections available. 8pm.
- New Year’s Eve Celebration at POST Houston – Downtown’s newest development rolls out the red carpet for a New Year’s Eve party that features fireworks, cirque-style performers, DJs on the decks, expansive panoramic views of the skyline, and more. Bottom two floors are free and open to the public; Skylawn access which includes most of the entertainment is $65. 8pm.
- NYE with the Hightailers, Griffin Swank in Concert at Last Concert Cafe – Boogie down to a night of Gulf Coast rock ‘n’ roll from the Hightailers, and a psych pop performance from Griffin Swank. Stick around to ring in the new year at this North Downtown staple. $15 in advance, $25 at the door. 8pm.
- Khruangbin in Concert at 713 Music Hall (Canceled) – [Please note this performance has been canceled. Follow the organizer for the latest updates.] The hometown psych rock phenoms take the brand new stage at Post HTX’s 713 Music Hall for a homecoming concert, with support from Aidan Kennedy and Kornbread. $129 to more than $200, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 9pm.
- A New Year’s State of Mind at Four Seasons Hotel – The Downtown hotel opens their doors for a farewell to 2021, with live entertainment, party favors, late-night bites, and a confetti countdown with complimentary champagne. $75; tables and VIP sections available. 9pm.
- If It Don’t Feel Like ’90s R&B: New Year’s Eve Edition at House of Blues – Get down to classic jams of yesteryear when Keith Jacobs brings his If It Don’t Feel Like ’90s R&B dance party to House of Blues for a New Year’s Eve bash. $25 for early bird tickets; $30 after. Couples tickets and VIP packages available. 9pm.
- Gatsby’s House New Year’s Eve at Hilton Americas-Houston – Usher in the roaring ’20s at this Great Gatsby-themed, upscale party in Downtown. Swanked out guests can expect prepaid drinks, party favors, multiple mingling areas, DJs spinning club mixes, and more. $195; VIP and hotel room packages available. 9pm.
- NYE 2022: Black & White Masquerade Ball at J.W. Marriott Downtown – Ring in 2022 in Downtown at the Black & White Masquerade Ball and enjoy multiple bars, party favors, complimentary cocktails and light bites, 3 rooms to mingle in, DJ music and more. $128; VIP packages available. 9pm.
- Prohibition Nights New Year’s Eve 2022 at C. Baldwin Hotel – The boutique hotel in Downtown hosts a swinging upscale celebration with fully stocked bars of complimentary cocktails, gourmet lite bites, party favors, and more. Formal trendy attire is required. $89; VIP packages available. 9pm.
- Célébrer: A New Year’s Eve Celebration at Pur Noire Urban Wineries – Just a block from the Theater District, this urban winery hosts a New Year’s celebration with live music from Houston Groove Society, guided food and wine pairings, and the latest sparkling wine release form Pur Noire. $99. 10pm.
Midtown, Montrose, Museum District + Third Ward
- Rockin’ New Year’s Noon at Children’s Museum Houston – Bring the kiddos out to the Rockin’ New Year’s Noon, a family-friendly end-of-year bash that rings in the new year at the stroke of noon with a parade and shimmering ball drop at the Children’s Museum of Houston. Included with general admission; $12 for ages 1 and up, free for ages under 1. 10am to 12:30pm.
- The Midnight Wish: New Year’s Eve at Live Oak – Get the party rolling early at this Third Ward hangout spot serving up food and drink all day, topped off with a champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight. $40; VIP and table reservations available. 4pm.
- New Year’s Eve 2022 at Grooves of Houston – The Third Ward bar and lounge hosts a New Year’s masquerade ball to toast 2022 in style. Come through to hit the dance floor to live DJs and enjoy happy hour specials before the big bash gets in full swing, or opt for a VIP pass to enjoy a midnight buffet, a casino lounge, complimentary toast and more. Free with RSVP before 9pm; $20 early bird, $25 at the door; VIP packages available. 7pm.
- New Year’s Eve at Space Nightclub – Toast to the new year at this Midtown nightclub offering food, drink, hookah and DJ tunes including hip-hop, classic R&B and Afrobeat. Enjoy complimentary Hennessy cocktails until 8pm, a confetti balloon drop, party favors and more. Free entry until 10pm; $40 after that. VIP packages available. 7pm.
- No Cover New Year’s Eve Bash with the Allen Oldies Band, the Monicas & more at the Continental Club | FREE – Usher in 2022 with a blast from the past when the Continental Club brings back the No Cover New Year’s Eve Bash, featuring the hits of the ’50s and ’60s from the Allen Oldies Band, ’90s tunes from the Monicas, and a backyard performance from Luba Dvorak & the Brooklyn Twang. 8pm.
- NYElectric at Westin Houston – Medical Center – Count it down at a lit experience in the Med Center, featuring a dazzling light and sound system, DJs spinning House and Top 40 tunes, open bar, multiple areas to mingle, party favors and more. $149; VIP and overnight packages available. 9pm.
- New Year’s Eve at Numbers Nightclub – The Montrose haunt hosts a midnight bash for New Year’s, returning to the dance floor with a $2,022 cash balloon drop at the stroke of 12, plus complimentary party favors and LED wands for the first 500 through the doors. Cover charge is TBA. 9pm.
- New Year’s Eve 2022 at Hotel ZaZa – Snag a room at the swanky Hotel ZaZa in Museum District and get access to the boutique hotel’s NYE party and brunch the next day. Enjoy live music, cocktail pop-ups, a champagne toast and then quell the hangover the next day with an elaborate brunch buffet, mimosas and Bloody Marys. Room reservations are required to attend; starting at $549. 10pm.
Washington Avenue + The Heights
- New Year’s Eve at Julep – Celebrate New Year’s Eve at the Washington Ave drinkery as they pull out all the stops for their guests. There will be an exclusive NYE champagne cocktail menu in addition to their full bar menu with a complimentary champagne or bourbon for the midnight toast. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are highly recommended. Booths and tables start at $250. 4pm.
- New Year’s Eve Bash at B&B Butchers & Restaurant – Head to B&B Butcher’s & Restaurant on Washington Ave for a festive New Year’s evening of food, drinks, party favors and 2022 swag. Live music will also grace the downstairs stage, with DJs spinning tunes on the upstairs patio. Reservations required. 5pm.
- New Year’s Eve Lunch & Dinner at B.B. Lemon – The Washington Ave eatery hosts an all-day, laid back New Year’s Eve with a choice of lunch or dinner service, party favors, cocktails and DJ music in the evening ahead of midnight. Reservations recommended. NYE party starts at 8pm.
- Dancing & Desserts: NYE with Boomtown Brass Band at the Heights Theater – Spend New Year’s Eve enjoying live music from the New Orleans jazz group, Boomtown Brass Band and treat yourself to a self-serve dessert buffet and champagne toast in the Heights. $28. 8pm.
River Oaks, Upper Kirby + Rice Village
- NYE in Ireland Concert at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck – Celebrate the new year Irish-style with traditional Irish music by Ulla, joined by Piper Jones. This year’s performance is synced with the New Year’s drop in Ireland, which takes place in the early evening of Houston. $30. 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
- New Year’s Eve Dinner at Backstreet Cafe – Chef Hugo Ortega’s bistro in River Oaks features a New Year’s Eve dinner menu with offerings like Gulf Coast beignets, butternut squash salads, and duck confit. $79 per person (plus tax and gratuity). 5pm to 11pm.
Galleria + Uptown
- New Year’s Eve Bash at the Annie Café & Bar – Make your way to the Annie Café & Bar on Post Oak Blvd for an evening of delicious food, specialty cocktails, 2022 swag, and live music. Reservations required. 5pm.
West Side, Energy Corridor + Sugar Land
- 2022 New Year’s Eve Celebration & Package at The Moran CityCentre – The CityCentre hotel is welcoming guests for a special New Year’s Eve package and celebration featuring live music, fireworks, sparkling wine, a midnight toast, and more—all included with an overnight stay. Special package rates are also available for arrivals starting Tuesday, December 28, 2021.
- Noon Years Eve at CityCentre | FREE – Welcome in the new year at a family-friendly Noon Year’s Eve celebration where the kiddos can dance to DJ music, enjoy face painting, cap the noon hour off with bubbles, and more. 11am to 1pm.
- 2022 Neon Boots New Year’s Eve Extravaganza at Neon Boots Dancehall & Saloon – Join the LGBTQ-friendly country and Western bar for a New Year’s Eve Party with a champagne toast, party favors, a $500 balloon money drop, and a complimentary buffet breakfast. $15 in advance, $20 at the door; table reservations available. 7pm.
- Angelucho Copacabana’s Havana Nights 2022 at Embassy Suites Houston West-Katy – Angelucho’s Cuban New Year’s Eve party returns after two years to ring in 2022, with live performances and DJ music playing to a large dance floor. All tickets are VIP and include a gourmet buffet dinner, two drinks, and a Champagne toast at midnight. $119 per person. 8pm.
- New Year’s Comedy Laugh Fest, featuring Bruce Bruce, D.L. Hughley, Eddie Griffin, Nephew Tommy, Earthquake at Smart Financial Centre – Send 2021 off with a night of nonstop laughter when some of the biggest comedians come to Sugar Land for an uproarious New Year’s Eve event. $59 to more than $200. 8pm.
- New Year’s Eve at CityCentre | FREE – Ring in the new year with live music from People’s Choice, plus a countdown to midnight with a confetti pop and rooftop fireworks show. Free, but garage parking is $10 after 6pm. 9:30pm.
- LazerTrance NYE with Orjan Nilsen in Concert at Stereo Live – The Prism DJ out of Norway, Orjan Nilsen, brings a set of trance music to ring in 2022 with a lazer spectacle at the West Houston venue. $10 in advance. 10pm.
The Woodlands, Spring + North Houston
- Black-Tie New Year’s Eve Bash at B-52 Brewing – Break out your best duds for a black tie bash among the towering trees of the Conroe brewery. Sip on beer and wine and snack on hors d’oeuvres while you wait for the balloon drop at midnight. $65, or $100 for an open bar entry. 8pm.
- T. Graham Brown in Concert at Dosey Doe: the Big Barn – For nearly 50 years, the country music singer has charted No. 1 singles while dropping 13 studio albums. Spend New Year’s Eve with his wistful stylings and enjoy an opener from Daniel Holmes. $88 and up; includes a three-course meal. 8:30pm.
Bay Area
- New Year’s Eve with Christina Wells at the Historic Sylvan Beach Pavilion – Houston’s own Christina Wells will be joined by her full band, along with first-rate performances by national and local artists, DJs, and more for a New Year’s evening of spectacular entertainment in La Porte. All tickets include the concert and entertainment, hors d’oeuvres buffet with carving stations, a Champagne toast at midnight, and more. $75 for general admission; $250 for reserved VIP seating with perks. 7pm.
- New Year’s Eve Concert & Party with Ronnie Spencer, Lil Kano, D-One Tha Chosen at Scout Bar – The Houston rapper known for his collabs with UGK, Z-Ro and a whole slate of Houston legends headlines a New Year’s Eve bash in Clear Lake that also features Gulf Coast rapper Lil Kano and D-One Tha Chosen. $25 in advance; $30 at the door. 9pm.
