Enjoy a movie night screening of Burning Bush at the Czech Center Museum Houston on Saturday, August 13, 2016.

Based on real characters and events in 1969, this tragic drama focuses on the personal sacrifice of a Prague history student, who set himself on fire in protest of the 1969 Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia.

In addition to the CCHM’s monthly film series, the museum offers many free to the public presentations of non-biased, non-political and non-religious events for those interested in the culture.

Founded to celebrate, share and promote the rich cultural abundance of this major Slavic ethnic group’s history, The Czech Center Museum Houston has spent the past fourteen years with the goal to bring highly acclaimed programs to Houston that highlight the Slavic group’s 1,500 years of having settled in central Europe.
