Start the year with sober celebrations at 15 Houston bars and restaurants serving up alcohol-free cocktails for January 2024.

Whether you’re looking to kick off 2024 with healthy decisions or you’re sober-curious in the month of January, there are plenty of bars and restaurants in Greater Houston that are serving up some of the city’s best mocktails.

We’ve highlighted 15 places from around the city that offer refreshing zero-proof cocktails and other delicious drinks to keep your streak going through this month and beyond.

Please note that many of these offerings are bar specials available for January 2024, and may be off-the-menu at the end of the month.

Coppa Osteria in Rice Village

The rustic Italian eatery in Rice Village brings signature cocktails to the bar in mocktail form.

Try the Fashion Week and La Perla varieties, or take a taste of the newest addition to the drinks menu, the Ginger Fizz. All three can be had for $8 each.

Marmo in Montrose

The Italian stunner housed in the Montrose Collective pours up two alcohol-free mocktails this month, available for $12 each.

Sip on the Bel Fiore, a concoction of cranberry, hibiscus and lime soda; or go for the Ragazza Mela, which blends apple cider with fresh lemon, almond and a star anise garnish.

Andiron in Montrose

The Allen Parkway steakhouse stunner offers two mocktail options alongside a sophisticated cocktail menu.

Don’t miss the Stop You’re Making Me Blush, a pink number with seedlip spice, citrus and a raspberry white pepper shrub garnish; or the Cranberry Tonic, which blends seedlip spice with citrus tonic and cranberry foam.

The Chelsea in Montrose

A newcomer to the Montrose Collective on Westheimer, the New American restaurant is serving up two mocktail offerings for the month of January.

Indulge in the Warm Up, which mixes agave nectar with zesty lemon, ginger beer, and serrano spice; or try the sweet tastes of the Soleil Rose, featuring pineapple, grenadine, fresh lime, tonic and mint.

Axelrad in Midtown

The neon garden sitting on the edge of Midtown and Third Ward features an extensive zero-proof menu of mocktails, non-alcoholic beers, seltzers and more.

Ranging from $5 to $7, you can get your hands on a non-alcoholic Lagunitas IPNA, or try mocktail offerings like the Blackberry Serrano Mule, blending blackberry with fresh lime juice, serrano, and Saint Arnold’s ginger beer; the Loca Lupita, a simple combination of cucumber, lemon and serrano; or the Briney Melon Refresher, which offers a taste of watermelon with lime, salt, mint and Saint Arnold ginger beer.

Bludorn in Fourth Ward

Chef Aaron Bludorn’s French-inspired stunner on Taft Street features four zero-proof cocktails for January, curated by the restaurant’s Beverage Director Fabio Pontes.

Sip your choice of the Dove’s Nest, made with grapefruit, lime, Seedlip Garden, vanilla and hot sauce; Apple Bottom Sage, which blends apple and Verjus with fennel-sage foam; Coco Canela, consisting of pineapple, coconut, smoked cinnamon and ginger; and the Sardoodledom, a coffee drink made from espresso, star anise, citrus and tonic.

Money Cat in Upper Kirby

The Japanese restaurant across from Levy Park adds four non-alcoholic options to its January drinks menu.

Sip on a Lychee Bouquet, with tastes of lychee and lavender with calpico and black cherry; pour up a Matchalada, a mix of matcha, coconut, pineapple and kabosu; get a refreshing spritz of the Strawberry Yuzu, which blends muddled strawberries with yuzu and Topo Chico; or try the Yueng Money Cat, a concoction of matcha, yuzu, lemongrass and sparkling water. Each of the mocktails are on offer for $8 apiece.

MaKiin in Upper Kirby

The upscale Thai restaurant housed in a lavish dining room in Upper Kirby offers three mocktail highlights, in addition to any of the signature offerings from the cocktail menu which can be transformed into non-alcoholic versions.

Savor the flavors of the Hua Hin Mango, made with non-alcoholic tequila, mango puree, lime juice, club soda, salt and sugar with a Thai chili rim; sip on the Pu Lae Pineapple, which blends non-alcoholic rum with pineapple juice, coconut water, lime juice and palm sugar, garnished with a sugar-coated pineapple; or opt for the Pattaya Po Tak, which combines Thai basil with non-alcoholic agave flavor liquor, club soda, lime juice and lemongrass syrup.

Eunice in Upper Kirby

This Modern Cajun-Creole restaurant celebrates the Gulf Coast and, in addition to its signature cocktail menu, will also offer several mocktails for $8 each.

Check out the Bramble Berry Fizz, which blends house lemonade with blackberries and club soda; or the Cinnamon Sunrise, made with orange juice, cinnamon syrup and lemon juice.

The Decoy in Memorial City

The new Memorial bar from the owners of Wakefield Crowbar pairs sand volleyball with a robust cocktail menu, including these three offerings.

Take a taste of the Watermelon Fresca, a mix of watermelon puree with lime and soda; the Kickin’ Lemonade, which adds simple syrup and ginger beer to a refreshing lemonade; or the Spicy Grapefruit, which features grapefruit, jalapeño and club soda. All three can be had for $7 apiece.

Daily Gather at CityCentre

The New American restaurant in CityCentre adds on to its boozy cocktail list with three $7 drinks that are alcohol-free but big on flavor.

Try the Ginger Strawberry Lemonade; the Daily BLT with blueberry, lemon, thyme and sparkling water; or a Cucumber Refresher with fresh lime, cucumber, orange, basil, vanilla and ginger beer.

Tobiuo Sushi & Bar in Katy

Sherman Yueng’s innovative sushi restaurant at La Centerra at Cinco Ranch is offering a trio of fruit-forward, alcohol-free mocktails crafted by General Manager Le Chau, each available for $7.

Sip on a Lavender Lychee with pineapple and cherry juice; try the Orange Dreamsicle with orange juice, pineapple and vanilla; or take to a Honey Ginger with honey, lemon juice and ginger.

Phat Eatery in Katy Asian Town

Alex Au-Yeung’s Malaysian street food restaurant includes two new mocktails alongside its fan-favorite offerings of cold-pressed juices and iced milk teas.

The Pandan Colada is a pandan coconut-infused syrup mixed with pineapple juice for a simply delicious sip; and the Lychee Sunrise combines fresh lychee and orange juices with pomegranate reduced syrup. Both zero-proof drinks are available for $8 each.

Dish Society at Multiple Locations

At its five locations in Katy, Memorial, the Galleria area, West University and the Heights, you can take to one of Dish Society’s three mocktail offerings in January; the Butterfly Effect ($7), consisting of butterfly pea blossom iced tea; Phantom Lemonade ($7), which blends rose syrup, fresh lemon juice and activated charcoal; and the Fauxjito ($9), a mocktail built on Seedlip non-alcoholic spirit with a chamomile and citrus infusion, garnished with mint.

Plus, you can still sip on a wide selection of house cold-pressed juices, coffee drinks and kombucha.

Amrina in the Woodlands

This eclectic eatery at the Woodlands Waterway features two mocktails that join the craft cocktail menu.

Get a refreshing, zero-proof taste of the Mango Lemonade, with a hint of cinnamon syrup and Richards Rainwater; or go for the Shinkaji Mule, which blends Fever Tree ginger beer with lime juice and spiced syrup.
