Mindfulness Classes for Children and Parents

The Health Museum will offer two classes that focus on mindfulness and how it can release stress for both children and parents.

With one class catered to children aged 6 to 8 and the other to children aged 9 to 11, these six-week beginner courses will help individuals understand their emotions and improve their concentration. Parents and their children will learn how to balance the stress of work, school, extra-curricular activities, family life and social pressure.

Both age groups of the Children/Parent classes will be held on Sunday afternoons from Sunday, April 3 through Sunday, May 22 with no classes on April 24 or May 8. Classes focused on ages 6 to 8 will take place from 1pm to 2pm and classes focused on ages 9 to 11 will take place from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.

The course is $230 for members of The Health Museum and $260 for non-members and covers one child and one parent/caregiver. An additional charge of $30 will be added if you choose to enroll a second child in the class. Click here for more information or to register for a class.
