Visit Main Street in La Porte for a family-friendly Mardi Gras party on Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 4pm to 9pm.

Just because Fat Tuesday is over, doesn’t mean the Mardi Gras celebrations have to end. Head to La Porte for a family-friendly festival on Main Street.

Grab a cold one at the Craft Beer Garden featuring beer from Saint Arnold Brewing Company, No Label Brewing Co., Karbach Brewing Co., Southern Star Brewing, Galveston Island Brewing and more. VIP ticket holders have access to the Beer Garden beginning at 3pm and will receive a swag bag, souvenir tasting glass and 8 sampling tickets. VIP tickets have sold out.

Food Trucks

Curb your appetite with Mardi Gras-inspired food from food trucks like St. John’s Fire, Coreanos Houston, Kurbside Eatz and The Modular. Angie’s Cake, Kona Ice and Chocolate Wasted Ice Cream Bus will also be on hand if you’re craving something sweet.

Live Music & Entertainment

Guests will enjoy live music from the Mambo Jazz Kings from 5pm to 9pm, and will be invited onto the stage for a dance contest between sets.

The whole family will be entertained by juggling acts, balloon artists, stilt walkers, face painting and a unicyclist.

An appearance from The Carnes Parade Krewe will be the icing on the king cake.

This event coincides with the city’s monthly Sunset Sip & Stroll Market which features work from local artists, fresh produce and goods from local farms and food vendors.
