After a hiatus in 2021, Mardi Gras on Main returns in full force to downtown La Porte, presenting an evening of fun, revelry, and New Orleans-style flair—complete with stilt walkers, a fire juggler, a fortune teller, and more.

The Umbrella Parade & Live Music
Help get the party rolling with the Umbrella Parade, La Porte’s official beginning of Mardi Gras led by the Second Line Band, filled with festively decorated umbrellas and costumes that create a spectacle down Main Street. The Umbrella Parade is open to everyone—with a decorated umbrella, of course—and teams can register for free. Register now.
There will be live music by headliners Keyun & the Zydeco Masters, hailing from Eunice, Louisiana. Bryan Keith & Zydeco Legacy will open for them on the main stage.
Mardi Gras Market & Kids Zone Fun
Elsewhere at the Mardi Gras on Main grounds, partygoers can explore the Mardi Gras market, packed with local vendors, handmade arts and crafts, specialty foods, and more.
And finally, the Kids Zone at Five Points Plaza will feature carnival rides, a mega alligator slide, face painting, Mardi Gras mask-making, and an appearance from the Princess and the Frog Prince.
