Sit back and enjoy hours of live music, performances, fitness programming, giveaways, and more at Lounge on the Lawn at Midtown Park on Saturday, April 28, 2018.

With its 30,000 square feet of lush, green lawn space, Midtown Park invites residents and visitors alike to enjoy an exciting day of outdoor, springtime fun at the newly opened grounds.

Expect food trucks, games, and entertainment, along with its permanent dog park, Lounge at the Lawn has something for everyone at this all-day, inaugural event.

While you’re there, be sure to take a tour of the park to check out the reflecting pool, 16-foot-tall mural, and interactive water installation featured throughout the green space.

Entertainment & Eats

Catch a glimpse of the nearby arts communities with live performances from The Ensemble Theatre Houston, MET dance Company & Center, the Houston Poet Laureate, and Main Street Theater.

Get active with dance classes from members of the Brazilian Arts Foundation, who will teach both the samba and capoeira.

And if you work up an appetite, visitors can look forward to delicious food and drinks all day from Rico’s Morning Noon Night, Friohana Shaved Ice, El Guajillo Food Truck, Mico’s Ice Cream, Oh My Gogi! BBQ, Sable Gate Winery, and the Waffle Bus.

Located in the heart of its eponymous neighborhood, Midtown park will host a variety of festivals, performances, markets, and other events throughout the year.
