Dress up and go wild at the 2014 Legendary Art Car Ball at Allen Center on Friday, May 9, 2014, the eve of the 27th annual Houston Art Car Parade.
It’s one of the zaniest nights of the year in Houston, so it’s only fitting that it goes down at the Orange Show. The night before the infamous Houston Art Car Parade makes its way down Houston’s streets for the 27th time, the event organizers throw a big party.
Many of the featured art cars will be on display and guests deck themselves out in costumes and over-the-top attire. They’re typically more fun to look at than the cars.
The live music line-up this year includes Whiskey Shivers, Eddie Sussex and the Innuendos, Free Rads 2nd Line, a Fistful of Soul and the Third Ward Community Choir. Actress and comedienne Artemis Pebdani, who has appeared regularly on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, hosts the event.
