Independence Day, Friday, July 4, 2025
Kidpendence Day at Children’s Museum Houston | Museum District – The museum hosts an patriotic program featuring Captain America and Lady Liberty in interactive story times, a science show, a confetti blast, and more throughout the day. $19.95. 9am to 6pm.
Fourth of July Weekend Bash at Little Woodrow’s Rice Village | Rice Village | No Cover – The popular Rice Village watering hole kicks off a 3-day weekend of water balloons, outdoor toys, drink specials, and Icees served all day. Continues daily through Sunday. Times vary.
Fourth of July Celebration at Bayou Bend | Near River Oaks | FREE – Salute freedom amidst the museum’s unique blend of the arts and American history at an afternoon festival of Americana, with performers, crafts, activities, refreshments, and a giant Declaration of Independence you can sign. 1pm to 5pm.
Freedom Over Texas at Eleanor Tinsley Park | Downtown – The annual Freedom Over Texas will feature an afternoon day of live music, capped off with the musically choreographed, “Texas-sized” fireworks finale. The concert stage will host a headlining set from country star Lee Brice, plus award-winning artist Ashley McBryde, and more. Fireworks start around 9:30pm. Tickets are $10; free ages 5 and under. 4pm to 10pm.
4th of July Celebration on the Skylawn at Post Houston | Downtown – Head atop the Downtown hub for incredible rooftop views of the Downtown Houston fireworks. Before the show, enjoy cirque performers, complimentary balloon artists and face painting, live music and more. $20. 5pm to 10pm.
The Americans: 4th of July Standup Comedy Showcase at The Riot Comedy Club | Montrose – The Riot celebrates the nation’s 249th birthday with a showcase by the people for the people, featuring a slate of American comics with stories to tell. $26+. 7pm.
4th of July Party with The Broken Spokes & Oliver Penn at Dan Electro’s | Greater Heights – The Heights guitar bar celebrates the holiday with live performances from The Broken Spokes, joined by opener and country singer-songwriter Oliver Penn. $15.25. 7pm.
Red, White & Boots: Fourth of July Rooftop Celebration at Tejas Brewery & Taproom | Arts District Houston – The Sawyer Yards brewery, with a killer top floor view of Downtown, hosts a night of live music and prime viewing of the Downtown fireworks. $20 includes your first beer free. 7pm to midnight.
Bubbles & Fireworks Boat Tour at Allen’s Landing | Downtown – Hop aboard BBP’s pontoon boat for a perfect view of Downtown’s spectacular fireworks show while floating along Buffalo Bayou and enjoying bubbly, beer, wine, and light bites. $125. 8pm.
Houston Symphony’s Star Spangled Salute at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Museum District | FREE – The Symphony’s Independence Day tradition returns to the Miller stage, featuring a rousing program of patriotic songs. Fireworks cap it all off, beginning around 10pm. 8:30pm to 10pm.
Red, White & Cruise on McGovern Lake at Hermann Park | Museum District – Head out on an evening pedal boat cruise highlighted by Miller’s fireworks show viewed from the park’s peaceful waters. $125 per boat, that sits up to 4. 9pm to 10:30pm.
Freedom Over Texas Fireworks Show Over Downtown | Downtown & Beyond | FREE to Watch – The fireworks finale showcase of the ticketed festival can be seen for free for miles around Downtown. The spectacular fireworks show happens in the sky immediately west of Downtown and above Buffalo Bayou, Allen Parkway, and Memorial Drive—and the best views will be those with a clear line of site to the skies above Eleanor Tinsley Park and Buffalo Bayou. Starts about 9:30pm.

Fourth of July Fireworks & Events in the Woodlands, Kingwood & Northwest Houston
Independence Day, Friday, July 4, 2025
2nd Annual Houston Fourth Fest & Road Races at Vintage Park | Northwest Houston – The morning festival features a 5K, 9K, 17.76K, and Family 1.776K races, Houston’s Beer Mile Championship, a hot dog eating contest and more. $10 to $80. 7am to 11am.
2nd Annual 4th of July Freedom Run at Town Center Park | Kingwood | FREE – Don patriotic garb for scenic, family-friendly runs—choose from 2-, 4-, and 8-mile or a kids dash, through the Kingwood Greenbelt trails. 7:30am.
49th Annual South County 4th of July Parade at Woodlands Town Center & Market Street | The Woodlands | FREE – With a 2025 theme of “Wings of Liberty: Celebrating the Bald Eagle”, the largest July 4th parade between H-Town and Dallas, features fire engines, floats, marching bands, military unit, pre-parade entertainment, and more. 9am to 11am.
July 4th Festival at Jersey Meadow Park | Jersey Village | FREE – The Northwest Houston celebration features food, games, live music from a Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute band, and a firework show at the end of the night. 10am parade; festival 6pm to 9:30pm.
Fourth of July at The Boardwalk at Towne Lake | Cypress | FREE – The Cypress lakefront destination hosts an afternoon celebration with live music, face painting, and other family fun. No fireworks will be on display. 4pm to 6pm.
July 4th Celebration & Street Fest | Tomball | FREE – Honor America’s independence with live music, food, games, and more activities followed by a fireworks spectacular at dusk in Tomball. 6pm to 9pm.
28th Annual Red, Hot & Blue Festival in The Woodlands | The Woodlands | FREE – The Woodlands celebrates freedom with a variety of family-friendly activities at spots throughout the township, including Town Green Park, Northshore Park and Waterway Square. Most sites will feature live music beginning at 6pm with bands playing until the fireworks shows around 9:30pm. Activities vary by location. 6pm to 10pm.
Valley Ranch 4th Fest in Montgomery County | Spring | FREE – Near the Grand Parkway in Montgomery County, this evening bash features a car show, local vendor market, a kids zone, live Brooks & Dunn and ZZ Top tribute bands, an evening fireworks show, and more. 6pm to 10pm.

Fourth of July Fireworks & Events in Sugar Land, Bellaire & Southwest Houston
Independence Day, Friday, July 4, 2025
Celebration of Independence Parade & Festival at Bellaire Town Square | Bellaire | FREE – The city’s parade, including a children’s bike parade, starts at South Rice Avenue and Valerie Street, leading to a festival at Bellaire Town Square with food, live music, and more. 9am to noon.
FourthFest: MCTX Independence Day Festival at Houston Community College—Southwest College | Missouri City | FREE – Expect carnival games, live music, local vendors, an evening fireworks display, and more at the all ages celebration. 5pm to 10pm.
Red, White, & Boom at Constellation Field | Sugar Land – Take the family out to the Space Cowboys’ ballfield for live musical entertainment, community booths, activities, photo opportunities, and of course, a firework display to conclude the celebration. $16.26. 6pm to 10pm.
26th Annual Family 4th Celebration at Seabourne Creek Nature Park | Rosenberg | FREE – Steel Country headlines an evening of patriotic fund, along with festive activities, tasty food for sale, and more, wrapping up with fireworks to end the night. 6pm to 10pm.

Independence Day, Friday, July 4, 2025
Katy Freedom Celebration at Typhoon Texas Waterpark | Katy – The waterpark is plussed for the fourth, with barbecue and live entertainment, in addition to the slides, pools, and playgrounds. The Freedom Celebration fireworks show launches at about 9pm. $44.99+. 11am to 10pm.
Fourth of July Celebration at CityCentre | Energy Corridor | FREE – Celebrate the holiday with an early afternoon of live music, DJ tunes, snow cones and snacks for purchase, and a patriotic photo op in the shopping center’s open Plaza. Noon to 3pm.
The Great American Brew Down at No Label Brewing | Katy | No Cover – The Katy brewery hosts a day of live music, giveaways, food trucks, beer specials, and more. Noon to midnight.
4th of July Party at Home Run Dugout | Katy | FREE – All ages are welcome for a night of dueling pianos of Joilux followed by a bigfireworks show, with plenty of game play, food, and fun in between. 8pm until close.

4th of July at Five Points | La Porte | FREE – The city of La Porte hosts an all-day festival that kicks off at 10am with a parade down Broadway, followed by the midday Five Points Fest with a free hot dog lunch and live music. 10am parade; festival 10:30am to 1:30pm.
Pasadena 4th Fest at Pasadena Municipal Fairgrounds | Pasadena | FREE – Let freedom ring and enjoy food trucks, a kids’ zone, vendors, fireworks, and tunes from live DJs and Pasadena Idol Performers at the fairgrounds. Fireworks begin at 9:15pm. 4pm to 10pm.
4th of July Celebration at Bicentennial Park | Baytown | FREE – Baytown’s annual celebration features live music by Ezra Ray Hart—Better Than Ezra’s Kevin Griffin, Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath, and Tonic’s Emerson Hart—and The Spazmatics, plus kids’ activities, food and craft vendors, and a 9:30pm fireworks show to cap things off. 4pm to 10pm.

Texas Navy Association July 4th Wreath Laying Ceremonies at Pier 21 & McGuire Dent Park | Galveston | FREE – The exas Navy Association honors those who’ ha’ve served in the Texas Navy and U.S. Merchant Marine with a pair of ceremonies recognizing sacrifices made for American independence, past and present, at 2 historic monuments on the island. 9am at Pier 21; 10am at McGuire-Dent.
Fourth of July Kids Parade at Rex L Meador Park | Seabrook | FREE – The City of Seabrook hosts a patriotic parade from the Miramar Shopping Center to Rex L. Meador Park. Once there, join in the morning festivities with a bounce house, hayrides, and more. 9:30am to noon.
Ice Cream on the Lawn at Moody Mansion | Galveston | FREE – Kick off Independence Day with free scoops for all, along with lawn games, interactive activities from Galveston Children’s Museum, and more. 10am to 2pm.
Citizen Appreciation Day at Hometown Heroes Park | League City | FREE – The midday event shows local appreciation with free hot dogs, live entertainment, face painting and more. The park’s swimming pool will be open. 10am to 2pm.
Stars, Stripes & Country Life: 130th Annual July 4th Celebration at Stevenson Park & Centennial Park | Friendswood | FREE – Opening with the Grand Parade at 10am, Friendswood hosts its whopping 130th Independence Day events, with rides, games, food and live entertainment at Stevenson Park, followed by live music by Texas Unlimited Band at 7pm and fireworks at 9:10pm at Centennial Park. 11am to 9:30pm.
Stars, Stripes & Submariners! An Independence Day Celebration at Galveston Naval Museum | Galveston | FREE – The museum celebrates with classic 4th of July food, sweet treats, cold drinks, hands-on crafts, scavenger hunts, photo ops with artifacts, and more. $14; $10 ages 5 to 11, 65+, and veterans; free active military. Noon to 3pm.
Fourth of July Celebration at Kemah Boardwalk | Kemah | FREE – The Boardwalk celebrates with live music by Clutch City and Calico, an Uncle Sam stilt walker, and an explosive patriotic fireworks show over the bay. 2pm to 11pm.
4th of July Parade in Galveston | Galveston | FREE – The Island hosts its annual seaside Independence Day parade on Seawall Boulevard, featuring a procession of floats, decorated military and civilian vehicles, and performers. The parade travels from 22nd to 46th streets. 6pm to 8pm.
Celebration of Freedom at Independence Park | Pearland | FREE – Honor the country’s birthday at Independence Park in Pearland with live music, family-friendly games and activities, free giveaways and a spectacular fireworks display beginning at 9pm. 6pm to 10pm.
4th of July Fireworks Show Over the Gulf in Galveston | Galveston | FREE – Stake out your spot on the Seawall for a stunning display of fireworks over the Gulf of Mexico. The show will get started near 37th Street and Seawall, lasting about 20 minutes. 9pm to 10pm.
