- Drunk Dracula at the Emerald Theatre | Thursday to Saturday – This limited-time-only, 21+ show in Downtown offers a unique spin on the classic horror tale. - 45th Annual Festival Chicano at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Thursday to Saturday | FREE – One of the oldest, ongoing events of its type in the world returns to the Hermann Park stage, celebrating Chicano music—from Tejano and conjunto, to mariachi and orchestra—with Jay Perez and David Marez on Thursday, Little Joe y La Familia and Los Desperadoz on Friday, and Elida Reyna y Avante and Avizo on Saturday. 7pm nightly.
- Comedian Ian Fidance at Punch Line Houston | Thursday to Saturday – Brooklyn-based comedian Ian Fidance, who will bring his upbeat, offbeat comedic takes to Downtown’s newest comedy stage for 3 nights. $32.05 and up. Times vary.
- Oktoberfest Party at St. Arnold Brewing Company | Friday & Saturday | No Cover – The two week celebration of German beer and food concludes with two days of live music by Das Ist Lustig and Valina Polka, a dirndl and lederhosen costume contest, stein hoisting and pretzel eating, and more. 4pm to 9pm both days.
- InkSlingers Tattoo Show at Bad Astronaut Brewing | Friday & Saturday – The Near Northside brewery hosts live tattooing and body piercings, free giveaways, artist and vendor booths, and more. $10. Times vary.
- Comedian Cipha Sounds at The Riot Comedy Club | Friday & Saturday – The Hot 97 Morning Show host, stand-up comedian and producer, also known as the host MTV’s Direct Effect and TruTv’s Laff Tracks. $25 and up. Times vary.
- Comedian Steve Treviño at Cullen Performance Hall | Saturday & Sunday – “America’s favorite husband” comes to Houston to share his signature relatability and comedic eye for the everyday. $37.50 and up. Times vary.
- Broadway Across America: Peter Pan at the Hobby Center | Daily – This brand new production of the classic musical features a book by celebrated playwright Larissa FastHorse, who wrote The Thanksgiving Play. When Peter Pan and Tinkerbell visit the Darling children one evening, it sets off a magical adventure the whole family will love. Audiences will instantly recognize songs like “I’m Flying” and “I Won’t Grow Up.” $40 and up. Times vary.
- Catastrophic Theatre presents Spirits to Enforce at the MATCH | Daily – When a group of tele-fundraisers try to raise money for a production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest performed by local superhero team “The Fathom Town Enforcers,” things get strange. Pay-What-You-Can. Times vary.

- Johnny Marr & James at Bayou Music Center – This doubleheader tour features The Smiths’ Johnny Marr and fellow Mancunians James, headlined by Tim Booth. James is known for their hits “Laid” and “Just Like Fred Astaire”, while Marr’s know for Smiths hits like “Girlfriend in a Coma” and “Armotopia”. $76 and up. 7pm.

- Lorna Shore at House of Blues – The deathcore band from New Jersey, best known for their single “To the Hellfire”, headlines a lineup that includes Whitechapel, Sanguisugabogg, and Kublai Khan TX. $39.95 and up. 6pm.
- Jada Vineyard Wine Dinner at Ouisie’s Table – The 5-course dinner pairs the River Oaks restaurant’s exquisite dishes with wines from one of California’s most recognized organic wineries. - Comedian Anna Akana at Houston Improv – The comedian, actress and writer, who was forced into a 6-year retirement after a stalking incident, returns and brings her signature humor to Houston. $180 for a table for four. 7:30pm.
- Still Woozy in Concert at 713 Music Hall – The Californian singer and songwriter brings hist Loveseat tour and his unique psychedelic, genre-bending bedroom-pop sound to the Post Houston stage. $32 and up. 8pm.
- Turtle Racing: Mean Girls Edition at Little Woodrow’s Midtown | No Cover – The popular gathering spot fan favorite competition takes on a Mean Girls twist. Cheer on Cady, Regina, Gretchen, Karen and the rest of the gang. Donations will be accepted for The Rose to help fight breast cancer. 8pm.

- Cursed Cauldron Pop-Up Opening at Aero Cocktail Co. | No Cover – The Galleria / River Oaks area cocktail bar is taken over by an immersive experience blending magic and mystery in a realm where witches and cocktails collide. - Comedian Luis J. Gomez at The Secret Group – The New York-based comedian, writer, podcaster and producer is the founding member of Legion of Skanks and the co-creator of Skankfest and GAS Digital Network. $20 and up. 7pm and 9pm.
- Joywave in Concert at Last Concert Cafe – Blending indie rock and pop, electronica, and alternative rock, the band from Rochester performs fan favorites and new tracks from their recent fourth studio album Cleanse. Hunny opens the show. $29. 7:30pm.

- Cash Cash Live Set at Stereo Live – The DJ trio of brothers from New Jersey come to H-Town for a live set at the Richmond Avenue club. - Houston Country, Folk & Red Dirt Festival at Clear Lake Park – Country artists Chase Wright, Frank Ray, Flat River Band, Grace Leer, and more perform live on the main stage at a day-long party. Guests will also enjoy artists and artisans, a farmers market, and a gourmet food and beverage garden, featuring craft beer and wines. - Oktoberfest & Grand Opening at Katy Beer Garden | No Cover – The new Katy Beer Garden will host its Grand Opening celebration with an all-day Oktoberfest party. - Southern Smoke Festival at Discovery Green – More than 70 incredible food and beverage pros from across the country will join the best wine, spirit, and beer producers and outstanding live music at Discovery Green. - 6th Annual A Taste of Cy-Fair at Bridgeland Lakeland Village Center – A Taste of Cy-Fair brings together local restaurants and businesses, and volunteers, with all proceeds benefiting Cy-Hope to help kids in the Cy-Fair community. Attendees can enjoy bite-sized creations from top local restaurants, sip handpicked wines and craft beers, jam out to live music and entertainment, shop the artisan market, bid on items from the silent auction, and more. 5pm to 8pm. $40; $15 for ages 11 and under; $80 VIP.
- Water Lantern Festival at City Place Park – Coinciding with the official opening of immersive art installation As Water Falls by Montreal-based arts collective Irregular, this beautiful evening culminates in the sunset sendoff of thousands of handmade lanterns into the main pond of City Place Park. $28.99 and up. 4:30pm to 8:30pm.
- Fractured: A Photographic Adventure With 400-Year-Old Glass Opening Reception at Archway Gallery | FREE – Check out the striking photography that artist Larry Garmezy captured through a distorted, uneven plate of glass. - 3rd Annual Oktoberfest in Sugar Land Town Square – Flying Saucer opens more than 50 taps for a Bavarian celebration in Sugar Land, featuring a vintage and crafts market, live music and dance, and traditional German foods with games and contests like the dachshund dash, stein races, bratwurst eating contest and more. $5 in advance, free for ages 11 and under; tasting packages are $25 and up. - Apollo Chamber Players: Liberty at the Hobby Center – The ensemble opens its season with this reflection on freedom, love and the triumph of the human spirit. Legendary actor and activist George Takei tells the story of his family’s forced internment during World War II. The evening also features the world premiere of a newly adapted commissioned work by John Corigliano, one of America’s most celebrated living composers, and Afghan-born composer Homayoun Sakhi offers a global perspective on the promises and perils of self-government and the eternal quest for liberty. $39.50 and up. 7pm.

- Society of Indo-American Arts: Kaleidoscope Of Dances Of India at MATCH – Experience the 6 classical dance forms of India: Bharat Natyam, Kathak, Mohiniattam, Odissi, Kuchipudi, and Manipuri, all on the same stage.
