Explore the work of female-identifying individuals at Houston’s first all-female art gallery pop-up at Inside Her Studio in Rice Village, on view through Thursday, December 31, 2020.

Founded by curator Magen Pastor, Inside Her Studio is now open to the public throughout the month of December, dedicated to exclusively showcasing the artistic works of female-identifying individuals.

As Houston’s first all-female art gallery and art consultancy, Inside Her Studio seeks to combat the inequities still faced by female and femme artists in the art world by uplifting this historically marginalized segment of Houston’s artist community.

The opening exhibition features 8 female artists between the ages of 16 and 65: Anat Ronen, Laura Goodson, Lesli Gawrecki, Meredith O’Neal, Olga Saldivar, Sevy Marie Eicher, Shelbi Nicole, and Vivian Pastor.

Social Distancing & COVID-19

Businesses in Houston have opened under modified protocols, following guidelines administered by local health officials, the State of Texas and CDC. At this time, guidance from experts urges people to continue wearing face masks when in public spaces, practice social distancing of at least six feet, limit your touching of surfaces and frequently use hand sanitizer or soap and water to keep your hands clean.

Before heading out, take time to familiarize with your destination’s requirements or restrictions at this moment, and be sure to contact them ahead of time with any questions or concerns.
