Sample delicious whiskeys, mingle with brand experts and celebrate in style at the 3rd annual Houston Whiskey Festival at Silver Street Studios on Saturday, March 19, 2016.
Just like its fine namesake, this Houston festival celebrating all things whiskey continues to get even better with age.
Newly expanded to Silver Street Studios, this year’s celebration of the most renowned and revered spirit will gather together amazing whiskies and spirits for tasting and rating.
In addition to the tastings, whiskey brand ambassadors will be on hand to discuss the subtleties and stories of their products amidst live music, art exhibits and great socializing.
All tickets include whiskey tastings, a buffet of gourmet bites, a commemorative pen and program, live music and entrance to seminars.
Live Music
There will be performances from Scooter Brown Band (known for Texas country including their song “Whiskey Talkin”), No Refund Band, Waking Fable and The Hustlers Brass Band.
Seminars
- WhistlePig Rye Whiskey – Doug Ward, WhistlePig’s brand steward, hosts a session exploring the distinctions of the Vermont-distilled whiskey. 7pm to 7:50pm.
- Bruichladdich Distillery – National brand ambassador Michelle Fedor shares the secrets of the Scottish whisky. 8pm to 8:50pm.
- Rebecca Creek Distillery – Steve Ison, CEO and founder of Rebecca Creek in San Antonio, discusses Rebecca Creek and Texas Ranger whiskeys, along with their best-selling Enchanted Rock Vodka. 9pm to 9:50pm.
Whiskey Competition
Some of the most respected whiskey and bourbon brands will face off in a consumer-judged contest for Best Whiskey Neat and Best Artisan Distillery. The winners will be names the Houston Whiskey Festival Best by Chilled Magazine.
