Participate in the rich cultural traditions of Poland with authentic cuisine, folk music, and dancing at the Houston Polish Festival in Spring Branch from Friday, May 3 through Sunday, May 5, 2019.
The cultural extravaganza known as Houston Polish Festival returns for another year of fun, food, and memorable festivities that celebrate the heritage and accomplishments of the Polish people.
The largest festival of its kind in the state of Texas, Houston Polish Festival serves up three days of celebrations that feature authentic cuisine, thirst-quenching beverages, gleeful folk music and dance, unique market finds, and a remarkable experience highlighted by Poland’s grand history and traditions.
Feasts & Folk Music
The best way to arrive at the Houston Polish Festival is ready to eat as you’ll find a sampling of authentic, delectable fare that includes pierogi (stuffed dumplings), bigos (hunter’s stew), kielbasa (sausage), and more — not to mention the traditional sweets, cakes, and desserts.
A special edition brew from Baa Baa Brewhouse in Brookshire, Texas highlights a large variety of beverages on-hand during the Houston Polish Festival, including wine as well as beer from Poland and local breweries.
With a full belly, immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of traditional Polish folk dances by Dance Group Wawel, the entrancing folk music of Tekla Klebetnica, the irresistibly playful polka from Grammy Award-winning polka legends Bravo Combo, DJ-spun Disco Polo dance parties, and more.
Trinkets & Treasures
Among the numerous booths lining the street, Houston Polish Festival guests can browse the outdoor market to find unique and authentic goods from local vendors. From hand-painted wares to clothing and accessories, there’s plenty to peruse.
If you’re after a truly one-of-a-kind item from Poland and the Polish diaspora, then place your bids at the silent auction that features a bevy of special pieces including vintage Polish crystal, linens, amber, dolls, and other treasures.
The Houston Polish Festival is also a great place for kids of all ages, thanks to the Children’s Corner that brings exciting games, face painting, bounce houses, and more to children in attendance.
