Dress as a Jedi, wookiee, trooper, or you other intergalactic favorite and cheer on the Houston Dynamo as they battle DC United on Star Wars Night, Saturday, June 18, 2016.
For their only June home game, the Houston Dynamo will host an epic Star Wars night in a galaxy far, far away (also known as BBVA Compass Stadium in EaDo).
Guests are encouraged to come dressed in costume – yep, go pull out your wookiee bandoliers, trooper suits, and Jedi robes – and cheer loudly as the light side (our very own Houston Dynamo) takes on the dark side (DC United) at this Saturday night game.
Costume Contest
Come in full regalia to participate in the costume contest, voted on by the crowd at halftime. Judges from Hot 95.7 and SportsRadio 610 will make the final call. Enter from Orange Avenue prior to the game to enter the contest.

May the Force be with you as you snap a photo with one of the Star Wars characters in attendance and enjoy special Star Wars-themed entertainment and distractions during the game.
One-Night-Only Star Wars Ticket Packages

Dynamo Traditions
In addition to all the night’s special intergalactic fun, sitting in the stadium can easily be its own universe of excitement. Even if it’s your first game, you can look like a pro if you follow the Dynamo fan chants and traditions.
- Team Introductions – As the starting lineups are announced over the loudspeaker, join in and yell out each player’s last name.
- Scarves Up – Stand and raise your Dynamo scarf when the team enters the field prior to kickoff. If you want to join in but don’t have a scarf, visit the Dynamo Team Store located on the north side of the concourse before the game.
- We Are Orange – Immediately following the national anthem, the Dynamo supporters groups lead this short chant. It’s easy to catch on, but first-timers can click here to see the full chant.
- Streamers – At select seats, fans will find a Dynamo streamer waiting for them. When the Dynamo score a goal, throw your streamer high in the air. Streamers are also available for purchase at the Dynamo Team Store. Streamers should only be thrown up and never onto the field or at any player or official.
