Hotel Derek is serving up a very special feast, with five courses paired with five craft beers. Of course, the item that caught our attention is the big finish; a beer milkshake featuring Lazy Magnolia Brewery’s Pecan Porter beer, graham cracker ice cream, bourbon and whipped cream.
- Craft “BLT” – Heirloon tomatoes, smoked pepper bacon jam, watermelon radish and artisan goat cheese paired with Rahr’s blonde from Rahr and Sons.
- Third Coast Ceviche – Fried plantain chips complement ceviche made with Peruvian lime, micro cilantro, avocado and red chilies paired with Six Point Righteous Ale.
- Smoked Boar Belly – Boar belly treated with an espresso rub with smoked jicama slaw paired with Saint Arnold’s Santos.
- Grilled Ribeye – Ribeye with smoked potato puree, sweet Texas onion rings, with a habanero steak demi paired with Fort Bend Texas Backyard Blonde.
- Lazy Magnolia Pecan Porter Shake – Chocolate espresso cheesecake with a bing cherry reduction served with a beer milkshake made with Lazy Magnolia Brewery’s Pecan Porter beer, house made graham cracker ice cream, bourbon and topped with whipped cream and a cherry.
Dinner includes the full meal, five beer pairings and free valet parking.
