The field of hearses offers insight into the evolution of funerary transportation, from the sleds and horse-drawn carriages of the 1800s, to 1930s Packards and presidential hearses that have carried Presidents Ford, Reagan, and Bush. Other highlights include a ceremonial Japanese hearse, the elegant Mercedes hearse that carried actress and Princess of Monaco Grace Kelly, and beautifully hand-crafted wooden panels that adorn a 1920s-era motorized hearse.
