Update 5/17/20: This production has been canceled with the intent to reschedule at a later date due to uncertainty around theater productions in a post-COVID-19 world.

Draw fast and lock in your seats now for the mid-summer return of the national touring production of Hamilton: An American Musical to the Hobby Center from Tuesday, June 30 through Sunday, August 9, 2020.

Although theaters are currently closed, along with everything nonessential for the immediate spring due to the Coronavirus shutdown, Broadway Across America announced that Hamilton is still expected to fulfill its summer visit to Houston, kicking off on the very last day of June, with extra matinees plan in the days leading up to Independence Day, July 4, 2020.

Refundable Tickets Now Available

Tickets to the massively popular show, which has sold out shows many weeks in a row on past visits, are now available.

Although the organizer is expecting that the show will go on, in the event of cancellations or postponements, ticket orders will be refunded or honored at a future date.

Tickets range from $89 to $399, with a limit of eight tickets per order or household for the run of the show. Those tickets are available now.

In addition, there will be a lottery for a total of 40 $10 tickets to each show. Details for trying to claim these tickets will be released closer to the debut dates of the tour.

My Name is Alexander Hamilton

The record-breaking musical is known for featuring a very diverse cast portraying U.S. founding fathers and historical figures—including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and the titular Alexander Hamilton.

The musical is the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, Hamilton is the story of America then, as told by America now.

It also boasts a clever combination of American music genres, including hip-hop, R&B, pop music, soul music, and traditional-style show tunes.

Hamilton ticket inventory varies by day and time.
