  • Thorn & Moon presents Carnivale Spooktacular at Market Square Park | Friday, October 14 | No Cover – Known for their monthly Magickal Market in Northside, Thorn and Moon host a special and spooky pop-up in Downtown, offering tons of witchy wares and local goods to shop while you enjoy performances, circus acts, trick-or-treating, and much more. Prizes will also be awarded for Scariest, Funniest and Most Creative Costume. 5pm to 10pm.
  • Houston Symphony presents Hocus Pocus Pops at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Friday, October 14 | FREE – Bring your friends and family to hear the Houston Symphony’s renditions of some Halloween classics at the Hocus Pocus Pops in the Woodlands. Free for lawn and mezzanine seating; $25 for orchestra seating. 7:30pm.
  • House of Spirits: A Haunted Cocktail Soirée in Missouri City | Friday, October 14 to Monday, October 31 – This immersive cocktail soirée places visitors inside the haunted mansion of Francisco and Molly Vega, where they’ll sample multiple mini craft cocktails and take in a 2-hour experience of tarot readings, roaming characters, secret games and more. $66 and up. Times vary.
  • The Upside Down Market & Stranger Things Screening at Iron Works in East End | Saturday, October 15 | No Cover – Inspired by the hit Netflix show, this themed market offers a curated selection of fashions, food, photo ops and more at the Iron Works building on Milby Street. Giveaways for Best Dressed Costumes will be up for grabs, plus you can stick around for an evening screening of a fan-fave Stranger Things episode. 2pm to 8pm.
  • Fright Night Halloween Fest & Market at Megaton Brewery | Saturday, October 15 – The Kingwood brewery calls all fans of Halloween, horror and oddity to an evening bash with more than 50 local vendors to shop from, plus delicious craft beer, live music, and local voice actors, filmmakers and creatives. $10 in advance; $15 day of event. 3pm to 10pm.
  • EastEndBikeRide: 8th Annual Cemetery Gates Ride at D&W Lounge | Saturday, October 15 | FREE – Participate in a skeleton and Dia De Los Muertos-themed bike ride at some of Houston’s oldest and lesser known cemeteries in East End Bike Ride’s biggest annual event. 7pm.
  • Scream Movie Screening & Brunch at Alamo Drafthouse | Sunday, October 16 – Catch a screening of the classic 1996 slasher flick, Scream, and enjoy brunch favorites at the Katy-area Alamo Drafthouse. $11. 11am.
  • Halloween Trivia & Steak Night at Front Porch Pub | Tuesday, October 18 | No Cover – Test your knowledge on all things Halloween and horror while enjoying a $20 16oz ribeye with a loaded baked potato at the West Gray drinkery. 6:30pm.
  • Tim Burton Burlesque at Rise Rooftop | Thursday, October 20 – This burlesque show hosted by Nikki Knockout will pay tribute to Tim Burton’s classic movies like A Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, and more at Rise Rooftop in Midtown. $20. 7:30pm.

  • Urban Green’s Halloween Screen at McGovern Centennial Gardens | Thursday, October 20 – Join Hermann Park’s young professional group, Urban Green for an outdoor screening of the classic 1984 movie, Ghostbusters. In addition to the entry ticket, you can also purchase a food package that includes bites from Raising Cane’s, Hughie’s Vietnamese Grille, brews from Saint Arnold, popcorn, and more. $12; free for ages 3 and under; $37 for admission and food package. 7:30pm to 10pm.
  • RuPaul’s Drag Race: Night of the Living Drag at Smart Financial Centre | Thursday, October 20 – The 11th annual production returns to Sugar Land, where you can watch Yvie Oddly re-emerge from the Inferno to hunt down the Souls of Seven Sinful Queens, featuring Aquaria the Sloth, Asia O’Hara the Envying, Bosco the Lusting, and several more. $49.50 and up. 8pm.
  • Monster Mash Bash Shooting Event at Precision Camera Woodlands | Saturday, October 22 | FREE – Open to photographers of all skill levels, Precision Camera provides models in special effects makeup for a spooky photo sesh, with the opportunity to win a Panasonic Lumix mirrorless camera. 4pm to 7pm.
  • Houston Happy Hour Halloweekend Bar Crawl in Midtown | Saturday, October 22 – The first of three bar crawl nights (the other two taking place across Halloween weekend) sends costumed revelers to The Dogwood in Midtown for check-in, followed by multiple stops at surrounding bars that will offer drink specials, live DJs, and a costume contest. Early bird tickets start at $11. 5pm to 11pm.
  • Into the Woods Charity Event at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott | Saturday, October 22 – This annual charity fundraiser gathers proceeds for different youth and community-oriented organizations, while also putting on a big Halloween bash with casino games, a costume contest, fortune tellers, mystery boxes and more. $50 and up. 7pm.
  • Two Star Symphony 20th Anniversary & Backyard Circus Carnival Celebration at the Continental Club | Saturday, October 22 – Costumes are encouraged at this backyard bash in Mid Main headlined by the distinctive, dark sounds of Houston’s Two Star Symphony, followed Emma d’Lemma’s burlesque and whip show, magic from Dylan Bryson, and DJ Bear Linh. $10 in advance; $15 day of. 7pm to 2am.
  • Doomsday Wrestling Halloween Matinee Massacre at Numbers Nightclub | Sunday, October 23 – Houston’s own comedy wrestling troupe brings the haunted headlocks to Numbers in Montrose for an all-ages bodyslamming event for Halloween. $18 and up. 6pm to 8pm.
  • Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics at Majestic Metro | Tuesday, October 25 & Wednesday, October 26 – The historic theater near Market Square Park hosts back-to-back nights of classical instrumentals that blend modern favorites like “Thriller,” Franz Schubert, and themes from popular series and movies like The Exorcist, Halloween, Ghostbusters and more. $55 and up. Times vary.

  • Martini Madness! Witchcraft at Houston Center for Contemporary Craft | Thursday, October 27 – The annual fundraiser, adorned in a WitchCraft theme, helps support HCCC’s mission and offers an evening of artist-made decor and glassware, cocktails, bites, photo ops and tunes by Houston’s own DJ Sun. $175. 7pm to 10pm.
  • Spirits of the Bayou Boat Tour at Allen’s Landing | Thursday, October 27 to Saturday, October 29 – Hear some of the lesser-known stories of ghosts, lost souls, and spirits of the bayou as tour guide Andrew Groocock unravels some of the haunted tales and legends of Buffalo Bayou. $40. 6:30pm to 8pm.
  • Yappy Hour: Halloween Costume Paw-ty at Bagby Park | Friday, October 28 | FREE – This special Halloween-edition of the pup-friendly Bagby Park series sees plenty of four-legged friends in costumes while you can also shop pet treats and games from local vendors on site. 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
  • 2022 Howl-O-Ween Ball at Houston SPCA | Friday, October 28 – The annual fundraiser that helps support Houston SPCA’s mission for helping animals in need puts a Halloween spin on the charity soirée, with an evening of elegant Halloween costumes, an auction, dinner and dancing, performers and more. $400 and up. 6:30pm to midnight.
  • Nature Horror Stories: An Adult Halloween Nature Night at Nature Discovery Center | Friday, October 28 – This adults-only after hours event at the Nature Discovery Center sets out on a night hike through the park, with creepy nature stories, games, snacks and adult beverages. $25. 7pm to 9pm.
  • Letsdothishouston: Halloween Costume Night Light Bike Ride at 3rd Ward Tours | Friday, October 28 – Kick off the Halloween weekend in your best costume on two wheels, alongside dozens of other riders as you vibe to a curated playlist and take to the streets from 3rd Ward Tours, riding to Houston destinations. $11; $28.50 includes a bike rental. 7pm to 9:30pm.
  • Girl on Ghoul: Fangdom at ReBar at ReBar Houston | Friday, October 28 – Lesbians of Color Nation hosts this all-girls celebration and night of music, Halloween costumes and dancing, alongside palm readers, flame throwers and more. Ages 25+ (ages 21 to 24 should be accompanied by 25+). $10 in advance; $15 at the door. 9pm to 2am.
  • Classic Halloween at Numbers Nightclub | Friday, October 28 – Enjoy a Classic Numbers night with ’80s tunes spun by DJ Wes Wallace, with cash prizes handed out to the best costumes of the night. Cover charge at the door. 9pm to 2am.
  • 4th Annual Haunted Warehouse in Texas City | Friday, October 28 & Saturday, October 29 – The Galveston County Food Bank’s annual fundraiser returns for a fourth year, transforming their warehouse into a unique, family-friendly haunted house to help end hunger in Galveston County. Come by early from 1pm to 5pm to enjoy a free Halloween carnival with vendors, games, and trick-or-treating. Tickets are $10; free for ages 2 and under. 6pm to 10pm.
  • Trick or Drink: Houston Halloween Bar Crawl in Midtown | Friday, October 28; Saturday, October 29 & Monday, October 31 – Take part in a 3-day Halloween pub crawl, Trick or Drink, at Midtown bars like The Garden HTX, Leon’s Lounge, Social Beer Garden, and more. Costumes are very recommended. Tickets range from $15 to $45. Times vary.

  • Monster Mash Kids K/5K/10K at Karbach Brewing Company | Saturday, October 29 – This Halloween-themed run event sends pavement pounders in-costume through the neighborhood around Karbach in Spring Branch. Things get rolling with the 5K and 10K events, with a Kids K to take place at 9:30am, and post-race celebration throughout the morning. Registration is $50 for the 10K; $40 for the 5K; and $20 for the Kids K. 7:30am.
  • Halloween Classic Car Show at National Museum of Funeral History | Saturday, October 29 – The annual Halloween-themed car show returns to the North Houston museum of all thing funerary. Bring your treat bag trunk-to-trunk and check out the spooky decor on a slate of classic and modern vehicles. $10 per person; $15 per couple or family. 10am to 3pm.
  • Witchy Brunch at Brennan’s of Houston | Saturday, October 29 – The fine dining Creole institution is getting spooky for a pre-Halloween Witchy Brunch. Guests are invited to wear something witchy and enjoy a three-course menu with favorites including Turtle Soup, Gumbo, Eggs Brennan’s, and more. $45, plus tax and gratuity. 11am to 2pm.
  • MusicFest 2022 at Willow Waterhole Greenway | Saturday, October 29 | FREE – In Southwest Houston, the 10th annual MusicFest offers a full day of live music from the worlds of R&B, blues, jazz, rock and Latin salsa; Halloween activities like trunk-or-treating, Halloween photo ops, and a costume parade; plus circus act performers, food and drink. 11am to 7pm.
  • Halloween at Truck Yard | Saturday, October 29 | No Cover – The EaDo hot spot hosts an all-day Halloween celebration open to families until 9pm. Stop by for all-day cauldron cocktails, pumpkin smashing, dog and human costume contests, fortune tellers, and more. 11am to 2am.
  • Haunted Halloween Horror Market Pop-Up at Wildcatter Saloon in Katy | Saturday, October 29 – The Katy restaurant and grill hosts an all-day pop-up that features horror celebrity meet-and-greets, Halloween costume contests, local vendors, live music and more. $15. Noon to 7pm.
  • The Monster S.M.A.S.H. Beer Fest at SpindleTap Brewery | Saturday, October 29 – The North Houston brewery hosts a Halloween weekend competition where more than 20 local breweries will compete for your votes with concoctions that only utilize one type of malt and one strain of hops. Stick around all afternoon and enjoy food trucks and entertainment by DJ Muskratch. $25 and up. 1pm to 5pm.
  • White Oak Halloween Pub Crawl in the Heights | Saturday, October 29 | No Cover – Get ready for a fun-filled afternoon in the Heights when a slate of 8 bars and restaurants on White Oak host a pub crawl complete with prizes, giveaways and swag along the way. Stick around at Bobcat Teddy’s after the crawl and aim for the crown in the annual costume contest. 2pm to 6pm.

  • Hike, Bike & Fright Fest at M-K-T | Saturday, October 29 | FREE – M-K-T in the Heights celebrates Halloween with a free, family-friendly festival that takes over the entire center. The third annual event will include a Trick-or-Treat Trail, an outdoor Shop Local Market featuring more than 40 local vendors, live music and dance performances, special deals at M-K-T shops and restaurants, a pumpkin patch photo op, an outdoor screening of the 1996 teen horror fantasy movie The Craft (R) on the lawn, and more. 4pm to 9pm.
  • ROCO presents A Musical Trick or Treat at the Heritage Society | Saturday, October 29 – This family-friendly evening begins with a welcome reception and then allows guests to trick-or-treat the historic homes in Downtown’s Sam Houston Park where ROCO musicians will also offer musical selections. Part–history tour, part–chamber concert, all fun. $45; $20 for ages 17 and under. 5pm.
  • Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee at Market Square Park | Saturday, October 29 | FREE – The Downtown parkspace hosts the annual all-hallows-eve extravaganza, featuring adult and kid-friendly trick-or-treating, ghost tours, pumpkin carving, live bands, and more. 6pm to 10pm.
  • Halloween Reading & Open Mic at Antidote Coffee | Saturday, October 29 | FREE – Hosted by Writespace at the Heights coffee shop, this event features local authors sharing their stories and a mini book fair, plus you have an opportunity to take the mic and read your own work. Costumes encouraged. 7pm to 9:30pm.
  • 14th Annual Montrose Halloween Crawl at Poison Girl | Saturday, October 29 | No Cover – Kicking off at Poison Girl and La Grange, costumed crawlers can head through the Westheimer Curve’s biggest bars, including Pistolero, Boondocks, Catbirds and Present Company, in the 14th annual edition of the festive pub crawl. 7pm to 2am.
  • Chromeo DJ Set & Halloween Party at Axelrad | Saturday, October 29 | FREE – The Halloween edition of the monthly Neon Garden series offers a fun night of video games, visual art installations, live music, and a special costume party. Plus, electrofunk duo Chromeo will spin a DJ set outdoors in the sprawling garden at Axelrad. 7pm to 2am.
  • Spirits & Skeletons 21+ Halloween Party at Houston Museum of Natural Science | Saturday, October 29 – HMNS will open up the entire museum, allowing for ghouls and goblins to enjoy a big Halloween bash with live music, DJs, food trucks, and drinks. $60. 8pm to 1am.
  • Monsters Ball: Halloween Costume Party Saturday at Grooves of Houston | Saturday, October 29 – The Third Ward hotspot hosts a Halloween costume extravaganza with best costume taking home $1,000, plus you’ll be able to enjoy tarot readers, magicians, face painters, photo ops and more. Free admission to ladies until 11pm; $10 and up after that. 9pm to 2am.

  • Freaky Deaky 2022 at Houston Raceway Park | Saturday, October 29 & Sunday, October 30 – Get ready for two nights of costumed EDM fun at this festival taking place in Baytown, featuring producers like Kaskade, Steve Aoki, Illenium, and Chris Lake, plus dozens more DJs and pulse-pounding spooky fun. Single day tickets are $95 and up; 2-day passes are $170 and up. 2pm to 11pm.

  • Texas Halloween Massacre 2022 at Space Nightclub | Sunday, October 30 – Space in Midtown hosts this year’s edition of the popular costume party that includes a $5,000 grand prize for best costume, plus partygoers can enjoy dancing all night, mechanical bull riding, photo booths, face painting, stilt walkers, party favors and more. Free admission until 10pm; $10 up after that. 9pm to 2am.
  • The Rocky Horror Picture Show at Numbers Nightclub | Sunday, October 30 – If ever a moment to do the time warp, it’s certainly on Halloween weekend at the fabled Houston nightclub institution that’s serving up live Rocky Horror performances, burlesque faves, and more. $25 and up. 11pm to 3am.
  • Haunted House of Burlesque at Henke & Pillot | Monday, October 31 – In Downtown, a slate of burlesque performers that include Vera Valentina, Poppy Tart, Nikki Knockout and Lady Annabelle will offer a special Halloween night performance infused with special effects that will tickle your senses. $35 and up. Showtimes at 5:30pm, 8pm and 10:30pm.
  • Halloween at Numbers Nightclub | Monday, October 31 – The annual tradition continues with Halloween night dancing and surprises, plus more than $1,000 in cash and prizes for the costume contest, and more. $7 until 9pm; cover charge after. 8pm.
  • Common Ground: Halloween Bash & Fall Market at Social Beer Garden | Monday, October 31 | No Cover – Common Ground presents its fall market along with some Halloween fun like a cash prize costume contest, classic open decks, special guests, and more at Social Beer Garden. 8pm.
