Attend a stellar space-themed soiree and costume gala celebrating Houston’s own Fresh Arts at The Space Ball, their annual fundraising gala for 2014, on Friday, March 7, 2014.
This year, Fresh Arts’ annual gala pays homage to Houston’s history as Space city, the organization’s own role in providing artists with space to create, and decades of sci-fi and pop culture inspired by the infinite reaches of space.
Attendees will deck themselves out in notoriously elaborate space and science fiction and fantasy-inspired costumes and enjoy libations, light fare, dancing and an artsy silent auction. Space jamming music will be provided by the multi-talented drag artiste extraordinaire DJ Lady Bunny and additional entertainment will be provided by intergalactic stellar spinning dance crew HaviKoro.
Fresh Arts is a resource center for Houston’s arts sector, assisting artists with space and tools needed to hone their crafts and helping the public engage directly with the arts.
