Things to Do in Houston for Father’s Day 2021

Saturday, June 19, 2021

  • Magical Dad’s Day at the Woodlands Children’s Museum – In celebration of Father’s Day 2021, the Woodlands Children’s Museum hosts an afternoon of family fun, featuring magicians and DIY art projects that make for great gifts for dad. $7; free for ages under 1. 10am to 2pm.
  • Father’s Day Weekend at Bayou Bend Collection & Gardens | FREE for Dads – Take in American decorative arts and the sprawling gardens of Bayou Bend during a weekend of self-guided tours on the grounds of the River Oaks mansion. Fathers receive free admission; tickets range from $6.25 to $12.50. Saturday 10am to 5pm; Sunday 1pm to 5pm.
  • Father’s Day at George Ranch Historical Park – The Fort Bend historical park that brings visitors back to the 1800s offers a gun slingin’ class that teaches dads how to load and shoot replica flintlocks and percussion rifles from the Alamo era. Included with general admission; $15 for ages 13 and up; $12 for ages 65 and up; $10 for ages 2 to 12. Classes are held at 10:30am, 12:30pm, and 2:30pm. Park hours from 9am to 5pm.
  • Father’s Day Market at B-52 Brewing in Conroe | No Cover – Enjoy a beer and find the perfect gift for the dad in your life from local vendors at the Conroe brewery’s Father’s Day Market. Noon to 10pm.
  • A Gulf Coast Juneteenth featuring Bobby Rush at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE | Virtual Option – The annual blues and Creole festival returns to Miller Outdoor with a living blues legend in the Grammy-winning, storytelling bluesman, Bobby Rush, who will take to the stage with his gritty vocals and impressive harmonica chops. The performance can also be viewed on Miller Outdoor’s YouTube. Seating in the covered area requires tickets that can be reserved online; seating on the hill is free and open to the public. 8:30pm.
