- Disney’s Moana Movie Screening at Levy Park | Friday, June 30 | FREE – Watch Moana set sail for a fabled island in a screening of Disney’s 2016 animated movie at Levy Park. Moana, the wayfarer and strong-willed daughter of the chief, sets out to recover an ancient relic, return it to the rightful owner and save her village from destruction. 8:30pm.
- Guardians of the Galaxy Blast Off at Children’s Museum Houston | Saturday, July 1 | FREE – Meet a few Guardians of the Galaxy characters during a very Marvel-ous meet-and-greet, then make your very own baby Groot at Children’s Museum Houston. Costumes encouraged. $17. 10am to 4pm.
- Snakes Alive! at Houston Arboretum & Nature Center | Saturday, July 1 – Meet some snake ambassadors and learn about the scaly reptiles at this class at the Arboretum. $35. 10am to noon.
- July 4th at George Ranch Historical Park | Saturday, July 1 – Step back in time in Fort Bend for a picnic and ice cream social at the 1930s ranch house, where families can also take part in games, crafts, sack races, hand-turned ice cream and more. $15 for ages 13 and up; $10 for ages 4 to 12; free for ages 3 and under. 9am to 5pm.
- 2nd Annual Conroe Stars & Stripes Celebration at Heritage Place | Saturday, July 1 | FREE – The Heritage Park celebration returns for another year, offering an evening of kids activities, local vendors, food trucks and live music from the Conroe Symphony Orchestra. The night will go out with a bang on a fireworks spectacular. 6pm to 9:30pm.
- Southwest District presents Liberty Fest at PlazAmericas Mall | Sunday, July 2 | FREE – Bring your friends and family to PlazAmericas Mall for a celebration of liberty with live entertainment, food, vendors, and a special fireworks show. 4pm to 9pm.
- Dinos Alive at Marq’e Entertainment Center | Ongoing – Step back in time and take in the sheer scale of the largest beasts to walk the earth. More than 80 animatronic dinosaurs can be viewed in their natural habitat, along with an added boost thanks to the latest in virtual reality technology.
