About Lunar New Year

The Chinese and Vietnamese Lunar New Year is based on a lunar cycle that falls between January 21 to February 20 on the Gregorian calendar.

Its celebration incites spectacular preparations, performances and displays at temples, businesses and personal residences throughout the city.

The entire event heralds new beginnings and expresses great relief in moving on from the travails of the old year.
