Arrive hungry for an annual Dickens on the Strand tradition, The Queen’s Feast, where attendees can dine on an indulgent meal, enjoy a special reading of A Christmas Story by Ollie Dickens, and partake in a champagne toast to Queen Victoria.
This Saturday night event is part of the 46th Annual Dickens on the Strand festival taking place in Galveston, and invites attendees to feast inside the intricate Victorian architectural beauty known as the 1859 Ashton Villa.
This year’s menu features yeast rolls, a salad, cream of potato and leek soup, and a prime rib with horseradish sauce, roasted potatoes, and baby carrots with plum cake for dessert to top off the four-course meal. Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.

Dickens on the Strand
Dickens on The Strand is Galveston’s annual holiday street festival bursting with live entertainment on multiple streets, including strolling carolers, roving musicians, bagpipers, jugglers, and a crowd of entertainers and costumed revelers.
First-time visitors and returnees alike embrace the holiday tradition, dressing up in their Dickensian finest (or raggedy threads for a proper pauper) while taking to the streets to shop, eat, party, parade, and celebrate.
