Honor beloved ancestors and discover Hispanic contributions to Sugar Land with a new exhibit at the Sugar Land Heritage Museum & Visitor Center from Tuesday, October 22 through Saturday, November 2, 2019.

This October, the Sugar Land Heritage Museum & Visitor Center will unveil a new exhibit that honors 120 years of Hispanic heritage in the city of Sugar Land. The commemorative exhibition gives visitors two weeks to explore Hispanic contributions to the region and tour altar displays that memorialize loved ones as part of Día de los Muertos celebrations.

The new exhibition punctuates the significance of All Saints’ Day in hispanic cultures across North and Central America, where families gather to maintain the burial sites of beloved ancestors, honor their memories with personalized altars, and give thanks for blessings of the past.

Sugar Land Heritage Museum & Visitor Center will also play host to special presentations taking place on each Saturday during the two week exhibition, providing live music, entertainment, and historical-cultural presentations that are free and open to the public.
