Hear Chef Chris Shepherd discuss his recent trip to Vietnam at Asia Society Texas Center on Wednesday, August 19, 2015.

Earlier this year, Houston’s own James Beard Award-winning Chef Chris Shepherd, Executive Chef and Owner of Underbelly, traveled from Southern Vietnam to Northern Vietnam and back again on an exploratory culinary journey. Vietnamese cuisine has always been a staple for him and favorite of his to explore within Houston, and he’s ready to share insights from his trip with fellow Houstonians.

Asia Society Texas Center will be hosting this very special chat, as Houston Chronicle travel editor Jody Schmal talks to him about his travels, explorations and revelations in front of a live audience.

Complimentary bites will be provided by Saigon Pagolac, one of Shepherd’s favorite local Vietnamese restaurants, and a cash bar will be available to guests.
