Buffalo Bayou Partnership presents Flutter Fling, a summer butterfly extravaganza celebrating the park’s 2024 Summer Species.

There will be butterfly crafts, the park’s June Butterfly Walk, and the Pollinator Parade at 11am from Lost Lake to the Jackson Hill Bridge. Parade participants can spot butterflies at The Houston Monarch Story by Michelle Matthews, a living art piece that uses larger-than-life butterfly sculptures and a growing pollinator prairie to educate the community about the importance of native plants to butterflies.

The 90-minute, roughly three-mile Butterfly Walk led by Nancy Grieg, former director of the Cockrell Butterfly Center, begins at 9am. RSVP in advance or learn more.
