In this online class, you'll learn about the Ruby-throated Hummingbirds and how you can help these birds in your backyard and around the world. Find out which flowers provide the best bang for your buck, how to set up the perfect hummingbird feeder, tips for hummingbird-friendly bird baths, and more. This event will be held online on Zoom. Learn about the 250,000 Mexican free-tailed bats at Waugh Drive Bridge over Buffalo Bayou for the virtual Birds and Bats, Oh My! event. Diana Foss, a biologist in the Wildlife Diversity Program at Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept, will give a virtual presentation about the importance of the Mexican free-tailed bats as well as take questions.
