Embark on a 30-minute, holiday-themed pontoon boat ride on select weekend evenings through December 21, 2013.
UPDATE 12/21/13: The cruises were cancelled for Saturday, December 21 due to heavy rains. Non-holiday boat cruises will resume in February. Stay tuned to 365 Things to Do in Houston for more information as that time gets closer.
UPDATE 12/5/13: The Buffalo Bayou Partnership has cancelled the cruises scheduled for the weekend of December 6 due to the wintry weather and heavy, and potentially freezing, rain anticipated.
Buffalo Bayou Partnership’s boat rides take on a seasonal spin, with Christmas lights, decorations, music and plenty of holiday cheer. The rides offer unique and fascinating perspectives of the city, with lights from the boats and the city itself reflecting on the Bayou.
Be sure to arrive early. Each tour can accommodate 21 passengers, who are admitted first-come, first-served. No reservations are accepted and tickets must be paid for in cash. There is no ATM at the landing, so plan ahead. The final tour launches at 7:30pm.
Boat rides may be cancelled in bad weather, so call 713-752-0314, ext. 4 if you’re in doubt.
