Gear up at the first-ever Bikes on the Bayou festival at Eleanor Tinsley Park

Rally your fellow bikers and cruise over to Bikes on the Bayou 2018, a three-day festival featuring all things related to bikes, scooters, and motorcycles at Eleanor Tinsley Park from Friday, April 27 to Sunday, April 29, 2018.

At this inaugural event held along Allen Parkway in Downtown, two-wheeler enthusiasts can enjoy incredible live entertainment, barbecue, and shop from nearly 100 vendors offering cycle-centric entertainment and products.

Visitors can look forward to delicious barbecue, scenic views of the Downtown skyline, and three full days of live music from headliners including, Australian rock group Sick Puppies, Memphis-based rockers Saliva, and Houston’s own Lil’ Troy.

After working up an appetite, bikers can chow down on barbecue from local pitmasters that were featured in the 2018 Houston Barbecue Festival.

Ride-In Bike Show  

On Sunday, April 29 stop by the Team Mancuso Booth to register at 10am for the Ride-In Bike Show at 1pm presented by Power House Custom Cycles.

All motorcycles are welcome and awards will be given out for the following classes.

Best in Class – Sportster, Bobber, Dyna, Softail, V-Rod, Metric Cruiser, Trike, Chopper, Sports Bike, Bagger, Big Wheel Bagger, Road King, Old School pre-1984, Best Paint, Best in Show Cruiser, Best in Show Sports Bike.

Tattoos on the Bayou

Do you have killer tattoos? Show them off at Bikes on the Bayou. 3rd Generation Ink’s World Famous Larry Shaw will host the tattoo contest at the rally on Saturday April 28th at 4:30pm.

The competition will award prizes in multiple categories featuring separate contests for women and men:

  • Black and Grey – Must be only black, grey, or white ink used. Tattoos with any color or dots will not be judged in this category
  • Color – Any style of tattoo as long as it has bright vibrant coloring.
  • Old School – Western or traditional American tattoo style featuring bold black outlines and a limited color palette.

About Larry Shaw

Having worked in the tattoo industry his entire life, Larry Shaw got his start as an apprentice in his Dad’s shop in Houston starting at the age of eleven.

Shaw started tattooing professionally at age 17, and has built up a strong reputation, not only in Houston, but all over the world as one of the best there is.

Overnight Stays

Attending motorcyclists can join cruises throughout the festival space, and then take advantage of secure, overnight parking on festival grounds.
