Loosen your belt and head over to Bernie’s Burger Bus in Katy for a delicious lip-smacking, tongue-pleasing, belly-sating burger or two.

With it’s opening at La Centerra at Cinco Ranch, Houston’s beloved food truck turned destination restaurant has finally made the commute to Katy. Bernie’s Burger Bus is now open for table service dining for lunch and dinner, featuring Chef Justin Turner‘s original burgers, plus a few new creations.

The restaurant embraces Bernie’s “Old School Awesome” mentality with iconic high school imagery including lockers, buses and more. On a nice day, opt to sit out on the back patio overlooking the pond.

The Menu at Bernie’s Burger Bus in Katy

Diners seeking a classic burger can start with the Principal, a classic burger featuring cheese, all homemade mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, thin sliced onions, pickles, shredded lettuce and slow roasted garlic tomatoes.

The adventurous can tackle the infamous Detention burger, a double cheddar cheeseburger with onion rings and all the dressings of the Principal. The twist is that these two thick patties are stacked between two crispy bacon grilled cheeses instead of a bun, making a massive tower of greasy goodness.

All of Bernie’s condiments and sauces are housemade, including ketchup, mustard, ranch, aioli and more.

Handcut French fries can be shared, and you can opt for traditional fries, sweet potato fries, Bernie’s signature truffle-laced fries and more.
