Get your creative juices flowing and create an original work of art to enter in the local art competition at the big, first-ever ARTS Social Mixer, happening at Sharespace on Friday, August 12, 2016.
August’s big social gathering will be a place to mix, mingle, and network with Houston’s creative class in a spirited setting.
Crafted for local creative professionals, the gathering will welcome designers, photographers, models, makeup artists, hair stylists, singers, dancers, painters, directors, and anyone who simply must create.
With games, an art contest, a swag bag filled with goodies, drinks, light bites, and other surprises, the evening shindig presented by GIMO Studios and designed by ELYN X Productions will be chock-full of creative revelry and connections.

A signature component of the evening will be the art contest itself, which will be voted on by attendees during the party.
With an admission ticket purchased, every artist is invited to submit a piece of artwork into the competition, which will be eligible to win a cash prize up to $1,000.
The ARTS Social Mixer Contest is open to all of the arts, including visual arts, music, fashion, photography, film, makeup, writing, dance, and more.
All artwork submitted must be no larger than 4 x 2 feet tall and no longer than 5 minutes for video or performance.
There will be four winners, as selected by voters. First place will be awarded $1,000, followed by $500 for second, $250 for third, and $100 for fourth.
