Located on the historic Taylor-Stevenson Ranch near NRG Stadium, the American Cowboy Museum provides visitors with interesting and interactive displays of multi-cultural contributions to the West.
Founded in 1988 by Mollie Taylor-Stevenson, Jr. and her mother Mollie Stevenson, Sr, the two were notably the first living African Americans inducted into the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in Ft. Worth.
With seven generations of family pride and western heritage, the working ranch offers exhibitions, artifacts, activities, tours, and even an oral history from Ms. Mollie and others who dress in traditional Western garb.
In conjunction, the ranch and museum offer visitors a unique setting and an exciting view of history and heritage.
