- Kurt Vonnegut’s Who Am I This Time at Stages Repertory Theater | Daily – Playwright Aaron Posner adapts three Vonnegut short stories about couples navigating love for the stage in Kurt Vonnegut’s Who Am I This Time. Tickets start at $21, but limited discounted $16.50 tickets are available for select shows. Thursday 7:30pm; Friday 8pm; Saturday and Sunday 2:30pm.
- Dry Powder at the Alley Theatre | Daily – See the publicity nightmare unravel when a company announces massive layoffs and the boss throws an extravagant party in the same week. Tickets start at $30, not including ticket fees. Thursday 7:30pm; Friday 8pm; Saturday and Sunday 2:30pm.
- Passing Strange at Obsidian Theater | Thursday to Saturday – See this Tony award-winning rock musical about a young black man who goes on a journey to find out who he his. Tickets start at $27.50, not including ticket fees. 8pm nightly.
- Tapas on the Trails at Houston Arboretum & Nature Center | Friday and Saturday – Stroll through the Arboretum’s nature sanctuary enjoying five tapas stations with wine and beer pairings along the way. Tickets start at $75, not including ticket fees. Friday 6pm to 10pm; Saturday 5pm to 9pm.

- Saving Banksy Documentary at The Secret Group – This documentary highlighting the relationship between street artists and the art market will make its Houston premiere at The Secret Group. $10. 6:30pm.
- KoumanKele Dance Company at The Children’s Museum – The KoumanKele Dance Company and Drum Ensemble will give the audience a taste of African culture in this performance at the Children’s Museum. Included with museum admission. 6:30pm.
- E.T. the Extraterrestrial Concert at Jones Hall – The Houston Symphony will play the award winning score from E.T. alongside a screening of the classic film from Steven Spielberg. Tickets start at $39, not including ticket fees. 7:30pm.
- Couples Therapy Comedy Retreat at the Houston Improv – Get in the spirit of Valentine’s Day with a twist. Club favorite comic Alan Adams, along with five other comics, as they riff on relationships and the foibles baked inside of them. After the show, Adams will lead a panel discussion with the comics and take relationship questions from the audience. $10 to $20, but you can score 2-for-1 tickets with promocode Couples365. 8pm; door at 7:15pm.
- Small Jokes about Monsters at the Docks – Landing Theatre Company presents this story of family secrets following the death of its patriarch. Intended for mature audiences. Tickets are pay-what-you-can. 8pm.
