- Washed Ashore: Art to Save the Sea at Galveston Island | Daily | FREE – Across the Island, you’ll find larger-than-life creatures of the sea, land and sky that consist of plastic debris washed upon American beaches. Five sculptures can be found in popular areas of Galveston, and they’ll be on view through the last day of March.
- Drunk Shakespeare at the Emerald Theater | Daily | Save Up to 41% on Tickets – Five professional actors perform one of the Bard’s classic tragedies in a hidden library with a catch—one of the actors takes five shots of whiskey before the show. Mayhem and hilarity ensues as the sober remaining cast try to keep the play from running off the rails completely. Full price tickets start at $49, but limited discounted tickets starting at $29 are available for most shows. Showtimes vary.
- Cirque du Soleil presents Corteo at Toyota Center | Daily – The enchanting arena show returns after a six year absence, following a clown with an extraordinary imagination. His vision takes the audience into a theatrical world with acrobats and comedy. $49 and up, but you may find better, cheaper, or hard-to-get seats on the online resale market. Showtimes vary.
- Comedian Jay Pharoah at Houston Improv | Friday & Saturday – The Saturday Night Live comedian, known for his flurry of spot-on impressions, arrives at the Spring Branch laugh house for two nights of comedy. $50 for 2, and up. Times vary.
- Comedian Mike Feeney at the Riot Comedy Club | Friday & Saturday – The comic seen on Barstool Sports heads upstairs at Rudyard’s Pub in Montrose for back-to-back nights of sets. $20 and up. Times vary.
- Houston Symphony presents At Last! A Tribute to Etta James at Jones Hall | Friday to Sunday – Celebrate the timeless magnificence of the R&B matriarch’s soulful music as it is brought to life by her own two sons, Sametto and Donto; her longtime friend and guitarist, Josh Sklair; and vocalist Crystal Monee Hall, live with Steven Reineke and the Houston Symphony. $34 and up. Times vary.
- Montgomery County Home & Outdoor Living Show at Lone Star Convention & Expo Center | Saturday & Sunday | FREE – If you’re looking for ideas, expert advice or just want to dive into a cool experience, this weekend show offers everything on gardening, home improvement, chainsaw carving and so much more. Saturday 10am to 6pm; Sunday 11am to 5pm.
- Houston Family Camp Fair in Katy & Sugar Land | Saturday & Sunday | FREE – Plan your kids’ exciting summer all in one day with multiple camp counselors showcasing their sessions that can deliver a memorable summer filled with learning experiences, friendships and outdoor activities. This event will be hosted at La Centerra in Katy on Saturday, from 11am to 3pm; and at Sugar Land Town Square on Sunday from noon to 4pm.
- Blue October in Concert at 713 Music Hall | Saturday & Sunday – The iconic alt-rock band, H-town’s own Blue October are quite fittingly taking over the 713 for two straight nights of music from their Spinning the Truth Around musical trilogy. $53 and up. 8pm.

- Comedian Troy Bond at Houston Improv – The social media darling is known for sharp crowd work and tongue-in-cheek Modern Seinfeld sketches that began at the age of 17. Now 26, he’s booked solid, sharing love for comics and the belief that kale corrupts youth. $60 for 2, and up. 7:30pm.
- Voxtrot in Concert at the Secret Group – The Austin-based indie pop band is back together and have their first new music in 14 years ready for the EaDo crowd at the Secret Group. $25 and up. 8pm.
- Bippity Boppity Burlesque: A Dirty Dizney Tribute at Warehouse Live Midtown – The Aphrodisi-Acts bring princesses and villains of classic films to life in a daring, risque way at this night of burlesque in Midtown. $30 and up. 8pm.
- Billy Allen in Concert at the Continental Club – The soulful garage grunge band brings a rockin’ night of music with debut album, Black Noise, weaving in and out of gospel, grunge, funk and soul. $15. 9pm.

- 46th Anniversary at Treebeards – For one day only, you can celebrate this monumental anniversary at the longtime Houston institution with an order of classic red beans and rice with sausage for the 1978 price of $1.95, available at all four locations; three in Downtown and one at Bunker Hill. - Platform: Martha Tuttle Opening Reception at Moody Center for the Arts | FREE – This one-of-a-kind installation in the Platform series features seven banners mounted on poles at the Rice University lawn, inspired by the Ursa Major constellation entitled the bear that longs to touch the ocean. 5pm.
- Anthony Almendárez: Hello, My Name Is ____ Opening Reception at DiverseWorks | FREE – Come see the opening of this multi-channel video and sound installation that touches upon social issues of employment and labor policies in the United States. 6pm to 8pm.

- Geometry of Light Movie Screening at Menil Collection | FREE – Grab a blanket for this outdoor screening of a film inspired by Greek-born artist Chryssa, on display in the galleries in Chryssa & New York.
