What began as a fictitious holiday on the TV show, Parks and Recreation, Galentine’s Day has become a nonofficial celebration for female friendships on the days leading up to Valentine’s Day.

• Rom Com Movie Trivia at Houston Toy Museum | Thursday, February 8 – Flex your knowledge on the most iconic and nostalgic rom-coms. Buckle up for six rounds of trivia that tests what you know about some of the biggest meet cutes in movie history, with prizes on the line. $10; includes museum admission. 7pm to 10pm.
• Love You to Death Art Show at the Hardy & Nance Studios | Friday, February 9 | FREE – Back for its 8th year, this art show is dedicated to love, loss and everything in between. Featuring more than 40 local artists and photographers, visitors can celebrate the full spectrum of love: romance, the honeymoon phase, courtship, your secret crush, unrequited love, and loneliness. 7pm to 11pm.
• The Pop-Up Co-Op: Galentine’s Weekend at M-K-T | Friday, February 9 & Saturday, February 10 | FREE – This 2-day celebration welcomes all gals to check out hand-foraged home decor from La Planta and live sketches by Tyler Darling on Friday; then visit with Hummingbird Vintage for restored and repurposed antique jewelry on Saturday.
