Rep the Bayou City with some of the best concerts, specials, markets and more to enjoy for 713 Day in Houston on Thursday, July 13, 2023.

Every summer, Houston has a chance to celebrate itself on July 13—or 7/13—in an homage to its wide-ranging area code.

The Space City offers plenty for those looking to dig in on its history, culture, and mouthwatering cuisine, not to mention the special events teed up for this unofficial holiday.

We’ve gathered just some of the best things to do this year for your 713 Day celebrations:

  • 713 Day at Henderson & Kane – The Sixth Ward general store and purveyor of all-things-Houston celebrates the day with a $7.13 special on burgers and beers, featuring some of the city’s best craft favorites. Sweet Cup will also be there, serving up a 713 Gelato, inspired by the city of Houston and its flavors. 8am to 9pm.
  • 713 Day HugoRitas at Hugo Ortega Restaurants – All five of Chef Hugo Ortega’s restaurants will offer $7.13 HugoRitas to celebrate the Houston holiday. Stop by for happy hour eats at Hugo’s in Montrose, Backstreet Café in River Oaks, Caracol and Urbe in Uptown, and Xochi in Downtown. Times vary.
  • 713 Day Market at 8th Wonder Brewery | No Cover – Setting up at the EaDo brewery, 713 Night Market brings dozens of local merch slingers and food vendors, with options like Korean wings, Filipino food, chicken and waffles, funnel cake, Mexican food, ice cream and more. While there, enjoy the vibe courtesy of live DJs, live bands, and a photo booth. 4pm to 10pm.
  • Houston Texans 713 Day at Post Houston | FREE – The Texans team up with Bud Light for an all-ages 713 Day celebration at Post in Downtown, featuring appearances by Texans celebrities, Toro the mascot, games, giveaways, music and more. 5pm to 8pm.

  • 713 Day Pop-Up Market at East End Backyard | No Cover – H-Town Drip Sauce presents this evening of shopping from more than 20 local vendors, plus music, food and drinks at the laid-back East End hotspot. 6pm to 10pm.
  • 713 Day at Axelrad | No Cover – Celebrate 713 Day in the neon garden of Axelrad in Third Ward. The spacious backyard welcomes H-Town Hibachi and you can head upstairs to join in on Argentine Tango classes. 6pm to midnight.
  • Ben Kweller, with Robert Ellis in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – Ben Kweller takes a little time off from touring with Ed Sheeran to roll through the South with support of hometown singer-songwriter Robert Ellis, appropriately on 713 Day. $30. 7pm.
  • Park After Dark at Discovery Green | FREE – The Downtown park space welcomes you to beat the heat of the midday with twilight hours fun, featuring lawn games from Rocket Dog, music, food trucks and local vendors, plus special park lighting. Take part in Strictly Street Salsa lessons until 8pm, then get your greenthumb tips from La Lydia Garden Boutique with free gardening classes until 9pm. 7pm to 10pm.
