  • Tootsie at the Hobby Center for Performing Arts | Tuesday, November 16 to Sunday, November 21 – Based on the 1982 comedy classic, Tootsie follows a struggling actor who disguises himself as a woman to land a role, but then must deal with all the misfortune that follows. Tickets start at $35. 7:30pm.
  • Rooftop Wine Dinner at Liberty Kitchen at the Treehouse | Thursday, November 18 & Friday, November 19 – In conjunction with Brewer Clifton, the 2020 Winemaker of the Year, Liberty Kitchen in Memorial is hosting an exclusive rooftop wine dinner. The four-course meal will be prepared by Executive Chef Emily Trusler and paired with Brewer Clifton wines. Tickets are $199. Both nights have a 5:30pm and 8pm seating.
  • Motown Christmas at the Ensemble Theatre | Friday, November 19 to Sunday, November 21 – Celebrate the start of the holiday season with an ensemble of traditional Christmas carols paired with the soulful sounds of Motown musicians like Marvin Gaye, the Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder and the Supremes. Tickets range from $53 to $60. Times vary.

  • Whiskey Wednesday at C. Baldwin Hotel | No Cover – The Downtown boutique hotel hosts a weekly Whiskey Wednesday at their gorgeous Lobby Bar. This week’s installation will feature jazz musician Anthony Rejiv and the Longbranch bourbon cocktails. 4pm to 7:30pm.
  • Demo & Dine: Fall Comfort Food at Central Market – Sit back and relax as Central Market in River Oaks shows you how to make a simple but flavorful fall dinner. Guests will enjoy the meal plus a glass of wine to complement the dish. Tickets are $40. 6:30pm to 8pm.
  • Trivia Wednesdays: New Girl at Beer Market Co. | No Cover – Test your knowledge on FOX’s hit sitcom, New Girl, at Beer Market Co. in Midtown. While you’re there, enjoy their $16 smoked ribeye special. 7pm to 10pm.
  • Poetry Slam at AvantGarden – Media company Write About Now teams up with this Montrose venue for their weekly open-mic poetry slam. Cover charge is $8. 7:30pm to 10:30pm. 
  • The Greatest Showman Movie Screening at Market Square Park | FREE – Bring blankets, chairs, and snacks to watch Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron and Zendaya in the 2017 circus musical inspired by the story of P.T. Barnum. 7:30pm.

  • Friendsgiving Mulled Wine Making at Buy the Glass Wine Bar – Taste and learn how to make the holiday household staple, mulled wine, at this wine education class in Spring. After the class and mulled wine tasting, take your custom bottle to share with friends and family. Tickets are $39.95. Sessions every hour from 11am to 7pm.
  • Brew Lights at Houston Zoo – The Houston Zoo hosts their annual 21+ event, Brew Lights, where adults can enjoy zoo attractions and drink their choice of Saint Arnold beer, hard seltzer, or spiked hot chocolate. Tickets are $35 for general admission; $45 for a brew pass that includes 2 drink tickets. 5:30pm to 10pm.
  • Houston French Festival at the Cannon West Houston – Francophiles can unite at this festival celebrating the country’s unique cuisine and wine. Guests of the event will have access to the open food and wine bar, plus surprise entertainment. General admission is $155 and VIP Bubbles Pass is $220. 6:30 to 10:30pm.
  • Cruella Movie Screening at Midtown Park | FREE – Watch an outdoor screening of the 2021 live-action Disney movie, Cruella, starring Emma Stone, at Midtown Park. 7pm to 9pm.
  • Throwback Karaoke at Uncle Albert’s Pub | No Cover – Hop on stage and sing some of the classics from decades past at Uncle Albert’s in Cypress. Come early to enjoy their happy hour and full kitchen. 7:30pm to midnight.
  • Wizard Fest at SpindleTap Brewery | No Cover – Pull out your wands for a party celebrating the classic series by J. K. Rowling. Enjoy drink specials, trivia, live DJ, magicians, and a quidditch pong tournament. Don’t forget to wear your best costume for a chance at a cash prize. 8pm.
  • Baby Keem in Concert at Warehouse Live – LA-based rapper Baby Keem performs at EaDo’s Warehouse Live to promote his debut album, The Melodic Blue. Tickets are $30 in advance; $35 day of the show. 8pm.
  • Ricky Skaggs & the Kentucky Thunder at Dosey Doe: the Big Barn – Bluegrass artist and multi-instrumentalist Ricky Skaggs travels to the Woodlands for a toe-tapping performance. Tickets range from $138 to $198; includes a dinner. 8:30pm.

  • Brunch Bar Crawl at Spanish Village – Bar crawls aren’t only for late nights anymore. This crawl, beginning at Spanish Village on Almeda, will escort you by party bus to three popular brunch spots. The all-inclusive crawl also includes the cost of your brunch, three drink tickets, and VIP entry. Tickets are $75. Noon to 5:30pm.
  • King of the Iron Sticks Festival at 8th Wonder Brewery | No Cover – Watch as players face each other head-to-head in Tekken 7 at EaDo’s 8th Wonder. In this double-elimination style bracket, the grand prize winner receives $600. Spectators can enjoy food trucks and vendors onsite. Noon to 10pm.
  • Tejano Music Festival at Kemah Boardwalk | FREE – Kemah is bringing it to the boardwalk with their Tejano Music Festival. Take a Tejano two-step dance class in front of the main stage and enjoy artists like the Riffs, Monico Cortez and Chris Q, and Sunny Sauceda. 2pm to 9:30pm.
  • Umami Fest & Night Market at Aveva Stadium | FREE – Head to Houston’s rugby stadium for a flavorful night of street food like boba tea, Korean BBQ, tacos and more. There will also be chances to play games and win fun prizes. 4pm to 11pm.
  • Magpies & Peacocks 10th Anniversary Soiree at Discovery Green – Journey into the realm of sustainable fashion while in the company of great people, food, and drinks with Magpies & Peacock’s 10th anniversary. The group will premiere their docu-mation film following their 10 years of work in upcycling, and host a live runway show featuring their sustainable collections. Tickets are $25 for students and $150 for general admission. VIP tickets begin at $200. 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
  • Fall Fashion Presentation at Gin Martini Designs – Shop and see the latest collection from Gin Martini Designs at their Exclusive Fall Collection presentation. Semi-formal dress code and masks are encouraged at the event. Tickets are $5 for standing room and $25 for seated VIP. 7pm to 10pm.
  • Houston vs. Chicago Comedy Battle Royale at Humble Civic Center – You get to judge which city has the best comedians at this comedy event in Humble. Five Houston comics will compete against five Chicago comics for their chance to win $5,000. The audience decides the winners, so be prepared to wear your judging cap. General admission is $40 and tables start at $135. 7pm.
  • Dial Up: ’90s & Y2K Dance Party at the Secret Group | No Cover – The Secret Group in EaDo is rewinding back to the days of Hansen, Britney Spears, and Tupac with their ‘90s and Y2K dance party. Bring some friends to hit the dance floor and reminisce on your younger days. 10pm.
