Week of Monday, November 1, 2021
- Salute to Military and First Responders at Kemah Boardwalk | Friday, November 5 to Sunday, November 7 | FREE – Celebrate the military and first responder heroes during three days of celebration on the Kemah Boardwalk. Take advantage of discounts, live music, military exhibits, a parachute team, military aircraft, training demonstrations and more. Times vary.
Week of Monday, November 8, 2021
- Veterans Week at National Museum of Funeral History | Monday, November 8 to Sunday, November 14 – The North Houston museum gives back to past and active military by offering free admission to veterans and active military servicemen and women for an entire week. The museum features several exhibits that pay tribute to those who have so bravely served and given their lives for our country, including the 9/11 and Fallen Heroes Tribute, Presidential Funerals, and Reflections on the Wall—a photography exhibit on the dedication of the Vietnam Memorial. Admission for all others is $10 for ages 12 and up; $9 for ages 55 and up; $7 for ages 6 to 11; free for ages 5 and under. Hours vary.
- Houston Salutes American Heroes: Veterans Day Celebration in Downtown | Veterans Day, Thursday, November 11 | FREE – This civic celebration honors and celebrates the brave men, women and families who have fought and sacrificed for the country’s liberty and freedom. The event opens with acknowledgements and a keynote speaker, before a Moment of Silence and American Heroes Parade. 10am; parade begins at 11:30am.
- Veterans Day at B.B. Lemon | Veterans Day, Thursday, November 11 – In honor of Veterans Day, B.B. Lemon hosts all active military and veterans to a complimentary 3-course meal during lunch and dinner. Guests of the active military member or veteran can enjoy the menu for $25 per person. Reservations recommended. 11am to 9pm.
- The Woodlands Veterans Day Tribute at Town Green Park | Veterans Day, Thursday, November 11 | FREE – The Woodlands hosts its annual Veterans Day Tribute with a presentation of colors, keynote speakers, musical performances and more. There will also be a drop-off booth on-site that will ship your care packages to troops all over. 4:30pm.
- Buffalo Soldiers National Museum presents Mixology Class: Military Cocktail Edition Online | Veterans Day, Thursday, November 11 | Virtual – Rasheed Sidney stops by to guide you through creating delicious and popular military cocktails that you can craft at home. Free with RSVP; $45 for a provided toolset. 5pm.
- Artists in Arms presents All the World a Stage at Smither Park | Veterans Day, Thursday, November 11 | FREE – Artists in Arms joins with Apprentice Productions to present this evening of Shakespeare performed and produced by veterans and their families. The night will feature a selection of scenes and speeches that touch on the experiences of veterans and those that love them. Free, but bring your own seat. 6pm.
- Salute to the Troops Veterans Day Bash at Little Woodrow’s Tomball | Veterans Day, Thursday, November 11 | No Cover – The Tomball outpost of the popular drinkery hosts a Veterans Day celebration with live music by Cody Wayne, Karbach specials, an Adopt-a-Soldier program, and more. No cover for entry; $50 VIP admission includes drink tickets, complimentary food and a custom t-shirt. 7pm.
- Veterans Day Bike Show at Mancuso Harley-Davidson Crossroads | Saturday, November 13 | FREE – Swing through on the weekend to enjoy a competitive car show and display of rip-roaring motorcycles that helps to raise money for non-profit veterans organizations, plus enjoy food trucks, brews from Karbach, and bounce houses for the kiddos. 9am to 2pm.
- Veterans Day Walk at Pearland Recreation Center | Saturday, November 13 – The annual Veterans Day walk offers a casual-paced 4K or 1-mile course in the area around Pearland Rec Center, with proceeds from the event benefiting organizations that help veterans cope with PTSD and other mental health challenges. Registration is $20; free for ages under 17. On-site registration is $25.
