  • Houston Astros vs. Seattle Mariners at Minute Maid Park | Labor Day, Monday, September 6 to Wednesday, September 8 – Kick off the start of a three-game series when the Houston Astros take to the field to face off against the Seattle Mariners in the heart of Downtown at Minute Maid Park. $15 to more than $175, but you may find better or cheaper seats on the TicketNetwork marketplace.   • Twin Shadow in Concert at White Oak Music Hall | Wednesday, September 8 – Catch a set from talented indie artist, Twin Shadow, when he performs an acoustic solo show in celebration of his latest self-titled album at White Oak Music Hall near the Heights. $25 in advance; $27 at the door. 7pm.
  • Las Fenix in Concert at Discovery Green | Thursday, September 9 | FREE (Canceled) – Sit among the skyscrapers while experiencing a high-energy norteño and cumbia performance when Las Fenix hits the stage at Discovery Green in Downtown. Houston-based singer and rapper Morena Roas opens the show. 7pm.
  • Houston Dash vs. Chicago Red Stars at BBVA Stadium | Friday, September 10 – Root on the Dash as they take to the pitch to host ex-Dash striker Kealia Watt and the Chicago Red Stars in EaDo. Tickets start at $12, but you may find better, cheaper, or hard-to-get seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7:30pm.
  • Pitbull with Iggy Azalea in Concert at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Friday, September 10 – Welcome the return of Mr. Worldwide when he arrives in the Woodlands for a night of club hits and fan faves while on the I Feel Good Tour.   • Proud Tina: The Ultimate Tribute to Tina Turner at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Friday, September 10 & Saturday, September 11 | FREE – Take in an electrifying concert performance featuring all the hits of the legendary Tina Turner, including “Simply the Best,” “What’s Love Got to Do With It,” “Proud Mary,” “River Deep Mountain High,” and so much more when Proud Tina presents back-to-back nights of showstoppers and energetic thrills. 8pm both nights.
  • Free Admission for First Responders & Their Families at Lone Star Flight Museum | Saturday, September 11 & Sunday, September 12 – Commemorate the 20th anniversary weekend of September 11, 2001 while taking advantage of free admission to all first responders and their families and checking out the new commemorative exhibit Never Forget: Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of 9/11 which honors the 2,977 people killed in the terrorist attacks. The exhibit will be available for viewing with regular museum admission through Sunday, January 2, 2022. Admission is free to first responders and their families including access to the museum’s aircraft and permanent exhibits. For others, regular museum tickets are $15; $13 for ages 13 to 17 and for ages 65 and up; $10 for ages 3 to 11; free for museum members and for ages 2 and under. Times vary.
  • Rebelution’s Good Vibes Summer Tour 2021 with Special Guests at Bayou Music Center | Saturday, September 11 – Vibe all evening to hypnotic tunes when Rebelution brings their all ages Good Vibes Summer Tour 2021 to Bayou Music Center in Downtown for a single show, with special guests Kabaka Pyramid, Keznamdi, and DJ Mackie. $20 to $35. Doors at 6pm; music at 7pm.
  • Apollo Chamber Players presents With Malice Toward None at MATCH | Saturday, September 11 – Mark the 20th anniversary of 9/11, and the season opener for Apollo Chamber Players, with the world premiere of With Malice Toward None, a story by Vietnam veteran and Composer J. Kimo Williams that weaves together the enlightenment philosophies of Ludwig van Beethoven and President Lincoln, at MATCH in Midtown. $35 in advance; $40 at the door; $10 for students at the door with valid ID. Tickets for first responders, teachers and veterans are $25 in advance; $30 at the door. 7:30pm.
  • Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars at NRG Stadium | Sunday, September 12 – Kick off the start of the Texans season with a home game against division rivals that includes No. 1 draft pick Trevor Lawrence and famed college coach Urban Meyer. $36 to over $250, but you may find better, cheaper, or hard-to-get seat using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. Noon.
  • Caballo Cup at Houston Polo Club | Sunday, September 12 – Kick off the fall season of polo watching as two teams compete on the pitch during a world class polo match at the Caballo Cup, complete with a player parade, expert announcing, live music, and a champagne divot stomp at halftime. $32.50; $15 for ages 12 and under. Grandstand boxes, which include seating for 2 to 20 guests, range from $79 to $695. 5pm.
