Explore H-Town’s aviation history at Lone Star Flight Museum’s Ellington Day

Celebrate all things Ellington Field this Spring Break at a special event at Lone Star Flight Museum (LSFM) on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 10am to 4pm.

Capping off a week of Spring Break fun, Ellington Day honors the storied aviation history of Ellington Field, home to LSFM.

Visitors can look forward to seeing extra aircraft and vehicles; appearances from military, science, and aviation experts; info booths, demos, a presentation about Ellington’s history; and more.

Mark Lardas, author of Images of Aviation: Ellington Field, will give an engaging talk and discuss the area’s history and the role the field has played in modern flight at 11am.

Meanwhile, from 11am to 3pm. kids can learn what it’s like to be a pilot by taking the stick in flight free simulators and learn about the Mooney Hangar and how it functioned.
