Sip suds from a Rocky Mountain-inspired brewery in the Greater Oaks/Oak Forest neighborhood at Walking Stick Brewing Company.

Just north of 610 in the historic Greater Oaks/Oak Forest neighborhood, Walking Stick Brewing Company has been pouring palate-pleasing beer and wine in their spacious digs since 2018.

Founded by Colorado native Andy Dunn and his Houstonian wife, Angie, Walking Stick is a magnetic watering hole for locals and visitors alike that are looking for a relaxed, refreshing setting to enjoy carefully crafted beer for all levels of enthusiasts.

Toast to Traditional Ales & Delightful Digs

The styles being served up at Walking Stick are largely inspired by traditional British ales and take their names from various mountains in Colorado, where Andy spent his formative years. Stop by and try their range of brews, from easy drinkers like the Bierstadt Blonde Ale and approachable Castle Pale Ale to the fruitful Sneffels Black & Blueberry Milk Stout and the biting hops of their New England-style IPAs.

The taproom itself is an inviting mix of indoor and outdoor seating that takes the place of a former industrial building. Two beer gardens provide a fresh air breeze while you sip on tasty ales while the lofty interior provides seating for those looking to escape the elements.

Each week, Walking Stick plays host to a number of events, in addition to special happenings that dot the schedule like local markets, live music and comedy nights. You’ll find a reason to get up early for yoga on Sunday mornings at the brewery, daub down for Monday night Bingo, join Tuesday’s Run Club, or enjoy a Wednesday special of half off wine plus some take-home flowers to freshen up your abode.

And if you’re in the mood for a bite to eat, Walking Stick Brewing Company welcomes a rotating selection of food trucks, in addition to their own kitchen, Twiggy’s Brew Bites, which serves up savory bagel sandwiches that complement their beers.
