Start the new year on a swingin’ note at Houston Symphony’s In the Mood: A Big Band New Year at Jones Hall—and online—from Friday, January 8 to Sunday, January 10, 2021.

Led by San Antonio-based saxophonist and vocalist David Caceres, the Houston Symphony gets the new year rolling with a weekend of socially distanced big band concerts in the heart of Downtown.

Step into a different era with bombastic big band renditions of Sinatra’s “Come Fly with Me,” “Take the ‘A’ Train” by Duke Ellington, “It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing)” by Tony Bennett and more.

Houston Symphony’s big band throwback can also be enjoyed from home during a livestream performance on Saturday, January 9, 2021.
