  • Veterans Appreciation Week 2020 at the National Museum of Funeral History | Monday, November 9 to Saturday, November 14 | FREE for Veterans and Active Servicemen & Women – In honor of Veterans Day, NMFH is giving back to past and active military by offering free general admission to veterans and active military servicemen and women for an entire week. Times vary.
  • Chantal Open Warehouse Sale | Daily | No Cover – Have your pick at online retailer Chantal’s striking kitchenware, with savings up to 75% on goodies for you and gifts for your friends and family. The annual, normally weekend-only, event has been extended for 2020, allowing more people to shop with social distance. The warehouse sale is open through Sunday, November 22, 2020. Noon to 5pm.
  • Free Burgers for Veterans at Bowl & Barrel, The General Public, and The Rustic | Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11 | FREE – Commemorate Veterans Day by honoring those who have served with a free burger on-the-house to all veterans with a valid military ID at Bowl & Barrel and The General Public in CityCentre, and The Rustic locations in Downtown and Post Oak. Hours vary per restaurant.
  • Julep presents Making Cocktails with Alba Huerta Virtual Series | Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11 – Concoct Southern-style cocktails like a pro when bartender Alba Huerta, of Washington Ave cocktailery Julep, teaches a virtual bartending class from behind the bar. Tickets are $25 for general admission; $15 for Visa cardholders. 6:30pm.
  • Brew Lights at Houston Zoo | Thursday, November 12 – Get into the holiday spirit while sipping on craft beer and more at a 21-and-up-only Zoo Lights experience featuring Saint Arnold brews, hard seltzer, spiked hot chocolate and more. Tickets are $49 and include two free drink tickets; $29 for a designated driver ticket. 5:30pm to 10:30pm.
  • Discovery Green presents Virtual Frostival on Facebook Live | Thursday, November 12 | FREE – The Ice at Discovery Green returns for another year with a virtual event celebration that features an ice carving demonstration by ice sculptor Reverend Butter, a behind-the-scenes look at how the ice is made and more, on DG’s Facebook page. 6:30pm.
  • HCAF 2020 Opening Night Drive In: Mogul Mowgli Movie Screening at Moonstruck Drive-In | Thursday, November 12 – Hop in the car and enjoy the Texas film premiere of Mogul Mowgli when the Houston Cinema Arts Festival and Houston-based director Bassam Tariq host a special opening night presentation of the film, which tells the story of a British-Pakastani rapper grappling with an autoimmune disease and his childhood in the UK. Tickets are $30 per vehicle. 7:30pm.
  • Opening Night of The Ice at Discovery Green | Friday, November 13 – Head Downtown to take part in the annual opening night of Discovery Green’s 7,716 square-foot outdoor ice rink, with an Instagram-worthy ice sculpture by sculptor Reverend Butter. Tickets are $15 with skate rental.  5pm to 11pm.
  • CAMH presents Virtual: DJ Red “Chopped and Screwed” DJ Set from Screwed Up Records | Friday, November 13 | FREE – Enjoy an special live-streamed DJ set from Screwed Up Click member DJ Red during a 2-hour set, broadcast live from the iconic Screwed Up Records on the south side of Houston. 9:30pm to 11:30pm.
  • 3rd Annual Hangar Bash: Red, White & You at Lone Star Flight Museum | Saturday, November 14 – Jet over to Lone Star Flight Museum to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII at the third annual Hangar Bash where visitors can participate in the “Red, White and You” theme, delight in charming hangar dances of the 1940s, dine on award-winning barbecue from Lone Star Cowboy Cookers, sip craft beers and wine, enjoy a lively set by Tianna Hall and the Little Big Band and more. Tickets for general admission are $50; $75 for VIP, with $10 discounts available to members. Designated driver tickets are $25. 4pm to 8pm.
  • Screwed Up Sunday at 8th Wonder Brewery & Facebook Live | Sunday, November 15 | No Cover – Sip on brew as you honor the legacy of Houston’s legendary DJ Screw with a commemorative pint glass filled with “6pace of Screwwberry Beer” at the 5th annual event in EaDo. This event will also be held online on Facebook Live. Noon to 6pm.
