Feast your eyes and mind on earthly treasures and mind-challenging demonstrations at the 63rd Annual HGMS Gem, Jewelry, Mineral & Fossil Show at the Humble Civic Center from Friday, November 11 to Sunday, November 13, 2016.

Once again, the Houston Gem and Mineral Society will be throwing a stone-studded shindig, welcoming collectors, explorers, and fans of all things ancient.

As they browse through fossils, minerals, gemstones, and unique jewelry from around the world, guests will find countless unique and ancient gifts at this 3-day only pop-up museum.

Eager-to-learn attendees will find plenty to engage themselves. A wide array of educational exhibitions and demonstrations will include lessons on wire wrapping, silversmithing, stone painting, and mineral and fossil identifications.

Mine Your Mind

All ages can enrich their minds with displays on gems, minerals, fossil specimens, and astounding fluorescent rocks, an energy exhibit from the Houston Geological Society, and activities presented by the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

Family Fun

While the kiddos will marvel at the 7-foot-tall raptor roaming the halls of the arena, there will be plenty to keep them active and engaged.

Activities include the “School Daze” earth science program, the scout merit badge, and a Dino Dig,

Parents of younger kids can breathe easy as children aged 10 and under (accompanied by an adult) receive free admission.
