Screen up to 30 feature films and 60 international short films as WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival returns to Cinemark Memorial City for its 55th year from Wednesday, April 20 through Sunday, April 24, 2022.
Both the oldest independent international film festival in the world and third oldest film festival in North America, WorldFest-Houston started in 1961 and still comes big with the bona fides.
This year, signature films included the Opening Night premieres the family adventure If I Could Ride directed by Shawn Welling and the horror flick Dark Night of the Scarecrow directed by J.D. Fiegelson.
Closing out the series is the family drama, Oliver & the Pool from Mexican director Arcardi Palerm-Artis, on Sunday, April 24, 2022.
In addition to the film screenings, the festival complimented by opening and closing celebrations, and other special events at the nearby Memorial City Westin Hotel across the five days.
