Marvel at human talent and traditional showmanship when the delightful, animal-free and Broadway-style Venardos Circus returns to Greater Houston for 16 shows over two weeks in Richmond, from Wednesday, March 2 to Sunday, March 13, 2022.
The acclaimed circus, chock full of talented human performers, was actually setting up in Richmond back in March 2020 when the arrival of the pandemic forced the cancelation of their tour. In fact, circus performers camped out in their RVs on-site at Richmond’s Dry Creek Social Club for several months at the start of the COVID ride out, doing several livestream performances through the summer.
Fast forward two years and the talented crew is thrilled to return to their stomping grounds to perform their beloved, all-ages show in their signature—and evocatively traditional red- and white-striped circus tent.
The custom-made big-top features an intimate feel and limited seating. And the circus performers themselves also are the crew in this traveling tour, much like the original circus tradition.
