Raise your glass to a Montrose mainstay known for its impressive whiskey selection, knowledgeable bartenders, and cozy backyard patio at Poison Girl.

Located on Westheimer between Dunlavy and Mandell Street, the eclectic dive is beloved for its affordable cocktails and beer, nude pin-up illustrations, and vintage pinball machines that can all be found within the tavern’s dimly lit pink walls.

After you pick the bartender’s brains and are set with a drink, be sure to check out the shaded smoking patio where you’ll not only find refuge from the bustling interior, but also a larger-than-life Kool-Aid Man, oddball Cabbage Patch Kid decorations, and plenty of picnic/patio furniture for you to spread out with friends.

What’s more, if you hang at the haunt long enough, you’ll find that Kool-Aid sculpture gets a fresh paint job every so often from local artists with varying Houston-inspired themes.
