Take advantage of free backstage experiences, along with other performances at Theater District Houston’s 25th family-friendly festival, Theater District Open House, on Sunday, August 26, 2018.

The TransCanada Theater District Open House is an annual festival for avid theatergoers and newcomers of all ages.

Now in its 25th year, the daytime event previews what’s to come in the 2018-2019 season with free behind-the-scenes experiences, show previews, interactive activities, and special ticket offers.

Take a creative movement mini class with The Houston Ballet Academy, hear the Houston Symphony perform, listen in on HGOco’s Storybook Opera performance, take your seat for a performance from METdance, and enjoy live jazz music with Da Camera.

The kiddos can get in on the fun by stopping by the Houston Symphony’s instrument petting zoo, meeting characters from Houston Ballet’s The Nutcracker, and laughing at comedic juggler Bruce Manners.
