With the haunted holiday falling on a Monday this year, there’s no reason why Halloween 2016 can’t be the most jam-packed yet.

Full price tickets start at $6.66 for a single day pass; limited comped (you just pay ticketing fees) and discounted $10 three-day passes are available. 5pm to 2am.
- Evenings on the Esplanade: Voodoo Halloween on the Bayou | FREE to Attend – Pre-party at a spooky all-ages Halloween event in the East End, featuring artisan vendors, pumpkin decorating, live music, and even the roasting of a whole pig. 6pm to 10pm.
- Halloween Throwdown at Inversion Coffee & Art in Montrose | FREE to Attend – Make it a caffeine-fueled holiday with art, food, drinks and a costume contest. 7pm to 10pm.
- Critical Massacre Bike Ride at Market Square Park | FREE – Bike through Downtown and nearby environs as the Critical Mass monthly community spooks things up with a costumes and other Halloween paraphernalia. 7pm.
- Politicians, Playboys & Performers Halloween Gala at BBVA Compass Stadium – This epic party will be filled with entertaining costumes, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live music, multiple DJs, interactive photo booths, a silent auction filled with unique items, and more. Attendees are encouraged to dress up like politicians, playboys, or performers. $25 general admission; $125 VIP in advance. 7pm to 2am.
- Halloweening IV at Walter’s Downtown | FREE with Costume – Continue Walter’s growing Halloween tradition as some of Houston’s favorite local bands perform cover sets of their 90s favorites, including Smashing Pumpkins, Alanis Morrisette, Gwar, and Bikini Kill. Free with costume; $7 if not. 7:30pm to 2am.
- Halloween at Hotel ZaZa Houston – Experience a live DJ, specialty drinks, and delicious bites at Hotel ZaZa’s annual Halloween bash. $75. 10pm to 2am.
- The Land of Oz Halloween Ball at La Roux – Travel to the magical land of Oz for a night of dancing, mingling and drinks on Washington Avenue. Tickets start at $20. 10pm to 2am.

- The Houston Halloween Festival at 8th Wonder Brewery in EaDo | FREE to Attend – Organized by Houston Zombie Walk, the first time event promises something for all ages, with family-friendly entertainment in the afternoon and a more risqué line-up at night. Costumes are encouraged and everyone is encouraged to take part in a costume Zombie Walk from 3pm to 4pm. There will be live music, food trucks, games, beer and more. 2pm to 10pm.
- Something Wicked Festival at Sam Houston Race Park – Dance all night to beats from artists like Diplo, Hardwell, and Deorro during this Halloween-themed electronic music festival. Tickets start at $129, not including ticket fees. Continues on Sunday. 2pm to midnight.
- Halloweekend Pub Crawl in Midtown – Celebrate the unofficial Halloweekend party night with a Midtown pub crawl. Full price tickets start at $6.66 for a single day pass; limited comped (you just pay ticketing fees) and discounted $10 three-day passes are available. 4pm to 2am.
- Club Fetish Halloween Party at Foundation Room at House of Blues – Dress to delight or disturb at this party where leather, lace, and latex are all welcome. Performances by Pleasure Zone, The Pole Show, and Knotty AcroCats kick off at 8pm. $20. 5pm to 2am.
- The Montrose Halloween Crawl | FREE to Attend – Slip into your Halloween costume for the 10th Annual Montrose Crawl and get ready to walk to restaurant and bars between Dunlavy and Montrose on Westheimer. 6pm to midnight.
- Karbach Creep: Halloween Street Party on White Oak | FREE to Attend – Explore the bars and restaurants around White Oak and Studewood in costume and enjoy drink specials, live music, a costume contest, and more. 6pm to 2am.
- Halloween at Historic Market Square | FREE to Attend – Head Downtown and spend your Saturday night watching a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, exploring the historic neighborhood, and taking advantage of specials at area bars and restaurants. Come dressed for the holiday to compete in the costume contest. 7pm to midnight.
- Halloween Celebrity Night at Cafe Europe – DJs will be spinning, jello shots will be served, and a cash prize for best celebrity costume will be awarded during this party at Cafe Europe. Tickets start at $15; limited discounted $7.50 tickets available. 7pm to 2am.
- Heights Fright Night Part 2 | FREE to Attend – Shuttle between various bars in The Heights at this Halloween-themed evening featuring costume contests, live music, drink specials, and games. 7pm to 2am.
- Feel Good Halloween Weekend at Axelrad | FREE to Attend – Catch a live show at Axelrad’s back patio as local band Bang Bangz cover Gorillaz songs. There will be prizes for the spookiest and most innovative costumes. 7pm to 2am.
- Wicked Woods Party at Houston Arboretum & Nature Center – Explore the woods at night, with stops at beer stations featuring local breweries. $75; $50 for members. 7:30pm to 11pm.
- Spirits & Skeletons at Houston Museum of Natural Science – Party all night at HMNS’s annual Halloween bash featuring DJs, cocktails, food trucks, and costumes. Tickets start at $25. 8pm to midnight.
- Haunted Halloween Party & Costume Contest at Pearl Bar | FREE to Attend – Get your Halloween on at Pearl Bar on Washington Avenue. The winner of the costume contest will score a $1000 cash prize. 8pm to 2am.

- Super Hero Underwear Halloween Foam Party at South Beach Nightclub – Dance in your undies or other form fitting super hero outfits as 10,000 cubic feet of foam falls from the ceiling. $15. 9pm to 2am.

- Jack Skellington Photo Op at The Wilde Collection in The Heights | FREE to Attend – Fans of the Pumpkin King from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, will want to stop by the gothic, Victorian-inspired oddities and curiosity shop for their last chance to strike a pose in front of the life-size (and very tall) ruler of Halloweentown and his trusty ghost dog sidekick Zero. - Houston Museum of Natural Science’s Halloween Happy Hour at OKRA Charity Saloon | FREE to Attend – HMNS hosts a happy hour at OKRA Charity Saloon to generate dollars and votes to raise money for science education around Houston. No cover, but drinks are on you. 5pm to 8pm.
