- Discover the Dinosaurs at NRG | Friday to Sunday – Explore the world of dinosaurs during this walk-through exhibit that allows you to ride a dinosaur, dig for fossils and see how dinosaurs lived. Tickets start at $21. Times vary.
- Houston Astros vs. Oakland Athletics at Minute Maid Park | Friday to Sunday – Get loud for the Astros when they take the field to play the Oakland As in a three-game series at home. Tickets start at $15, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. Times vary.
- Free Press Summer Festival at NRG Park | Saturday and Sunday – Rock out at back-to-back performances from sixty bands over five different stages during the annual Free Press Summer Festival. Headliners include Modest Mouse, Leon Bridges, The Chainsmokers, Collegrove, and The National. Tickets start at $92.50. Times vary.

- Stuffed Pasta Cooking Class at Central Market – Learn how to make manicotti, ravioli and tortellini from scratch – everything from the pasta dough to the filling to the sauce – during this class at Central Market. Cost is $65. 6:30pm to 9pm.
- Robert Ellis in Concert at Discovery Green | FREE – Bring a blanket to Discovery Green and lay out on the lawn to enjoy a free concert from Americana singer song-writer Robert Ellis. 7pm to 9:30pm.
- 2nd Annual George Springer All-Star Bowling Benefit at Lucky Strikes – The former Houston Astros outfielder hosts an evening of celebrity bowling, dinner, and drinks to help underprivileged stuttering youth to attend Camp SAY this summer. Tickets start at $200. 7pm to 10pm.
- R. Kelly in Concert at Toyota Center – Sing along to hits from three-time Grammy Award winning artist R. Kelly when The Buffet Tour rolls through Houston. Tickets start at $75, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. 8pm.
